Is it Mer or Mer?

I'm confused on the pronunciation of Mer. Ondolemar says it like Mer (merr) but I always ant to say it like Mer (mare). So is it Merrr and Altmerrr or Mare and Altmare? I hope I don't confuse you too much because it's kind of hard to ask a pronunciation question online...

I always pronounced mer as in mermaid, rhyming with her.

what u heard is most likely just a dialect, most dark elves and generic thalmor seem say it in a merr as in mermaid way

By itself, I pronounce it as "mare." In conjunction with other things, i pronounce it as "mrrrrrrrrr."

I take it just depends on your dialect.
Like, nearby there's the town of Casa Grande. Some pronounce it "Ca-sa Grand" or "Caw-Saw Gran-day".
