Nanovision useless on consoles?

Post » Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:21 pm

Dear all,
i don't know if anybody thinks like this too.
But me being a noob in Crysis MP in general having a hard time seeing cloaked enemies (while others seem to see me quite easily).
So that is what nanovision is for, right?
The problem on console is that you are not able to rebind the Nanovision activation key.
Holding the dpad for more than a second is just to much for a fast paced game like this, not to mention that you have to leave one of your anolog sticks alone for a second to do so.
So is there a posibility to reassign this, maybe swap it with the visor key to just make it a toggle?

Other than that i am enjoying the game even if i svck at it currently. ;)
Cheers,
Hype

Nano should be activated by tapping the up. Visor should either be activated by holding or by aiming down sights at tapping up. Typically people use visor when they're in a relatively safe location for tagging and nano when they suspect a cloaked opponent in their general vicinity. It makes sense to have the more combat oriented option as the quick option.

There is still one D-pad key unused right? that might be an option, to assign nanovision to the unused one, makes it a helluvalot easier to activate it.

LOL no way, that will never happen. Unless there is a way to actively separate KB+M users from the controller users, things are going to turn VERY nasty in multiplayer shooters.

There are mouse controllers for consoles already though. Not sure about the keyboard side though.

That's why I said 'I hope'. I don't see that being hard to do, at the very least they should add more buttons.

I hardly ever use it because its clunky to use. Tap up, then hold up is lame. The unused D-pad option makes total sense.

It's useless on every platform for me, as I never use it. I always forget it's there lol. I should probably use it more haha.
