Vault experiments. Anyone else think this one is REALLY effe

I've been reading up on the vaults since I just searched through most of them in the Fallout series. The thing that actually disturbed me was Vault 77. They put one man in Vault 77 all alone with nothing but a crate of puppets. Just imagine being stuck underground with NOTHING but puppets to keep you company. You never get to see the inside of Vault 77 but I noticed recently I got into Paradise Falls (which was hard because I'm a good guy) and I found a Vault 77 jump suit with a note that said "We need to burn this jump suit, or the Puppet Man will come back etc.) I did some reading and it gives +5 to unarmed and melee which were apparently the "Puppet Man's" ways of killing. Seems like something out of a horror movie. Normally Vaults don't spook me in the slightest but this just disturbed me. Do you guys think we'll be able to find Vault 77 in another Fallout Game to come or do you think Bethesda will just bury it.

Already been explored basically to it's entirety.

Sorry, Jay - it's a comedy.

I'm trying to figure out how he lived all those years to become an enemy of Paradise Falls.

(1) he became a ghoul or mutant (2) he became an urban legend to the slavers

Vault 11 is probably the most cruel vault there ever was.

I would have to go with 11. Or maybe 112. They were pretty horrible.

Vault 19 and Necropolis' vault, I can't remember which one it was. I also think that 112 was messed up really badly.

Both of these the story of vault 11 and it's "elections" was fascinating but 112 was just so cruel dam you Stanislaus Braun!

Sad thing is, governments and universities carried out all kinds of "research" on unsuspecting people.

Note the Dr. Salk is one of the ones mentioned....

i think 112 was one of the cruelest, being stuck to live forever, no matter which way you splice it sounds like a hell to me, not to mention the psycho scientist.....

the vault where they seperatred the kids from the parents, honeslty I would say that the life expectancy of the overseer of the Vault where the parents went could be measured in seconds.

Has to be vault 112, living forever for your only purpose to be entertainment for a mad scientist, although it wasn't the original plan of the vault (Braun's insanity)
Living a fake reality is the cruelest fate in my opinion... What was meant to be paradise turned out to be torture.

Another vote for Vault 11 as the most screwed up. that one felt most like an honest to god experiment, and the execution (Rimshot) was so perfect that when I hit the final reveal, I was actually sickened. Vault 112 is pretty creepy, but it's moored in the sadism of one guy. Vault 11 is the result of countless lives being thrown into a meat grinder at the whims of callous, impersonal corporate overlords and scientists. far more messed up.

Vault 11 is one of the most heartless experiments Vault Tec has conducted. I know people are killed and experimented in in lots of vaults, but in this one they were poinltessly tricked into doing it themselves. It's completly evil. One of the biggest gut punches in the game for me was when I read that final message from Vault-Tec and realized that they'd all been tricked. That's an entire population of peaceful people who managed to wipe themselves out for what would turn out to be no other reason than because V Tec was curious to see if they would.

Vault 112 was by far the most sadistic thing in the series. Almost everyone you meet in Fallout has a reason for doing bad things. Whether it's for survival, wealth, future generations, or cleansing the world, there's always a somehow-justifiable reason, except for what in done in V122. Braun doesn't only kill these people for pleasure, he tortures them. He doesn't even stop there! He doesn't allow them to die and does it for 200 years. Being trapped in virtual reality for that long is already bad, being tortured, killed, memories erased, and all again for what could be an eternity is downright hellish.

Vault 77 is kinda scary if you think about it. What would you do if you had to live your life in a vault with nothing but puppets to keep you company. I'm not afraid of puppets, but the idea of being locked underground with no other life at all and a bunch of puppets just sitting there soullessly staring at you is really creepy.
