Sniping: The Anti-Crysis?

Post » Sat Mar 09, 2013 10:21 pm

Hello all!
So this idea of the snipers/bow being out of place in the MP has been bugging me for a while now, so I whipped up a quick video to put across my thoughts but if anything, I'd enjoying hearing your views on the topic.

If you can spare a few moments to watch this video and leave your opinions it would be much appreciated!

Thanks again and I hope you're enjoying the MP as much as I am! (Sliding kills FTW)

Oh Noes! Snipers!

Instead of running around in the open like an idiot, try using cover once in a while, hmm? You know, like the SNIPERS do when they move from place to place. I'm beginning to really think children are taking over this game when I hear all the ragecry about snipers or being shot in the back. Even the AA isn't enough to save your skilless asses.

King Crysis III begs to differ. I am the very lifeblood of this series, and when I perish, this game will cease to be relevant. Sniping is also my favorite playstyle. Take a look.

Oh dear, I should upload some of my DSG footage then :P
Found it easier to use than Gauss on auto-armor users because gameplay revolves entirely around headshots than bodyshots. DSG still takes only 1 bullet to headshot from any distance (on auto-armor!) while having a drastically faster fire rate with Rapid Fire III.

It's a lot weaker than Gauss when it comes to body shots though. I would call it a high-skill high-reward weapon, except that I don't think any amount of skill is going to make it more effective than Scar, Jackal/Marshall or Feline when it comes to farming fast kills in close-medium range.

I will speak, as a guy who uses mostly bow. Camping with it is really the most ineffective way to use it. It's harder to shoot then dsg on large range. That being said - the bow is the beast, it is one of the most powerful weapons in my opinion. When I really get into it after a long warm-up, it is a massacre.

gauss is 1 headshot bro, even on death streak deflection...watch my video for proof.

Where on earth did I say that Gauss wasn't 1 headshot o_O
I only said DSG is superior because it is ALSO 1 headshot and can fire a hell of a lot faster.

Also DSG doesn't leave gigantic freaking smoke trails when you shoot, smoke which ends up obscuring the target half the time when it's not showing the entire map where the Gauss user is firing from -_-

Look at 1:00 in your C3 footage, there is so much smoke that you can't even see the target anymore, you are just firing into the smoke and hoping the target hasn't moved.
