Dual-wielding Differences

Okay, I've been thinking about a lot of different builds. Now I've been thinking of doing a sneak character. I want to slit throats.

I'm pretty sure to get the animation you need to have the dagger in the right hand right?

I've been thinking of when I can't sneak and have to do combat. I was thinking sword and dagger, but isn't it the dagger has to be in the off-hand to get the faster power attack? So, I'll have to switch hands and put a sword in the right?

This got me thinking of the dual-wielding differences.

What's the difference if I kept the dagger in the right hand and the sword in the left? Instead of the dagger in the left hand and the sword in the right?

Or just did dual daggers?

Power attack speeds are based on what is on your left hand, so a power attack with a dagger on the right and a sword on the left will swing slower than the other way around. Dual daggers gives a cool animation, but it'll hit just as fast in a power attack as if you were to hold a sword on the right and a dagger on the left.
