What was the earliest level and time in game it took you to recruit companion?

And if ED-E is fastest companion to get, who is second fastest/earliest to recruit?

ED-E is the fastest. Boone is next as you can get him in like five minutes after you reach Novac. Raul is a little faster than Boone but you have to be very knowledgeable of the game to get him at a low level.
