Skyrim.esm Question

Post » Sun Mar 10, 2013 6:39 pm

Hello all.

I have been using my own .esm and Version Control. I was reading the Version Control wiki again and I read the section "Trick to check out Skyrim.esm forms." I tried this after making a backup of Skyrim.esm and I could merge the changes to Breezehome that I made. All I did was place a trapdoor to gain access to the cells that I made and change the navmesh for the door marker. I reverted the changes I made with the hex editor as instructed by the wiki. However, I still get the mass amount of string errors.

My questions is: Do I really have to deal with the insane amount of string errors I receive every time I load Skyrim.esm into the CK even after I made the hex changes back?

You shouldn't have them.
Copy your original Skyrim.esm back into the data folder. You haven't actually changed anything in Skyrim.esm. All changes are stored in your esm.

Hello, thanks for responding. I did as you suggested and I am still receiving the errors. >.< I only changed what the wiki said to change, so I don't know.
