What would YOU do if you were in the Courier's shoes?

I mean this in the sense that....a decent amount of us say they'll support Indy or the Legion, sure, but based on our real-world cultures? We're much more inclined to side with House or NCR. Likewise there's decisions within the game that simply take a certain amount of bravery or thought. For example, would you REALLY volunteer yourself up to try and talk down the Khans, the guys who helped ambush you, in Boulder city? Would you REALLY think to talk down Oscar by telling him killing Bitter Springs refugees won't bring back his family, or would you consider it more convincing to tell him to go shoot at Camp McCarren instead? I gotta be honest, I probably would've taken the "bad" options on both of those, not because I'm trying to be bad, but rather that's how I'd react to the situation; I consider telling Oscar of Camp McCarren more convincing while I'm definitely not gonna volunteer to talk down some thugs if a Lieutenant is telling me I probably shouldn't. And how many of you, if supporting the NCR, would ignore Colonel Moore's warning that the Great Khans are nothing but raiders that should be exterminated? I think such decisions like this, it's EASY to make the "good" choice in a game. You see your options and figure "speech" is peaceful, so you take it. You see the option of telling Oscar to either stop entirely or shoot NCR instead, of course you take the stop entirely one. But if you're TRULY there, you may not think of the proper persuasion phrase to do so, or volunteering to risk your neck for diplomacy might not even cross your mind.

Likewise, I think many of us have valid criticisms of House. In my opinion, Indy and House are both good choices, but they're on complete opposite ends of the spectrum, so different strokes for different folks. But how many of you would be willing to turn down all that House is offering for a mere chance with Indy? How many of you would expect House to react hostily to the Kings making peace with the NCR? How many of you would hear Yes Man speak and decide taking over for House is better?

And how many of you would basically betray your country? Consider the NCR your country. If you were doing work in a foreign country and they offered you fortune and comfort if you betrayed your own country, would you do it?

I'd just like to hear how a lot of you would deal with the Mojave, and how you think it'd look if you walked through it. For things like the Boomer artillery fire? I think we can all agree no one in their right mind would run through that crap, so just go ahead and give yourselves a pass on that and assume you found some alternative way through it. Hell, assume you could bribe what's-his-face to run through on your behalf and get the Boomers to let you in, in exchange for a promise of wealth on behalf of House/NCR/Legion. OR alternatively you could see this as a REASON to kill off House and go with Indy, since House demands contact while Yes-Man doesn't.

But everything else?
What companions would you recruit? Would you really do that job for Boone?
What decisions would you make? Give Hildern the data? Turn in Tom Anderson? What would you tell Oscar? Veronica? Etc etc etc
Would you end up doing any of the DLCs, or would you ignore every last one?
And what major nation would you support?
