What is the point of using Bend Will on dragons outside of the quest in Dragonborn? The first dragon I met in Skyrim after arriving home from Solstheim was in Morthal. He landed on a building, I shouted at him. He landed on the ground and we took of to the skies. After circling over Morthal for a few minutes I got bored and asked him to land. He lands and lets me off. A couple of minutes later, he is attacking me again. Sigh. It would be cool if you could choose where to go with them (please don't suggest a mod as I am in Xbox).

I am not complaining, I am just asking you, the reader of this thread, if you know of any use for riding a dragon in Skyrim? Other than the very rare time that you fight a dragon and a bunch of bad guys at the same time.

Does anyone also know if you can ride Durnehviir after summoning him?
