Hello World of Skyrim,

While doing the quest Scoundrel's Folly, I was in the middle of following Gulum-Ei into the East Empire Shipping Company but I wasn't able to follow him in because he locks the door behind him. Since my lock picking skill wasn't high enough to pick the Adept lock, I decided to wait on completing this quest after I had leveled up and completed other missions. When I was a higher level I went back and I was able to pick the lock and enter into the East Empire Shipping Company.

After sneaking past and killing all the bandits my next stage in the quest is to Confront or Negotiate with Gulum-EI, I entered the room with the cages treasure chests and right before where the bandits are keeping the Horkers. Gulum Ei should be in this room but he is no where to be found. Whenever I use the spell Clairvoyance I get a text across my screen that reads, "no direct path detected".

Some players have found him inside the map but jumping onto buildings in Solitude and using the shout Whirlwind Sprint to jump on roof of Bits and Pieces, then climbing onto the roof where Bits and Pieces and the clothing store right next to it connect. After falling into the map other players have been able to find Gulum-Ei in the water or standing on the shore. Although when I try this he isn't down there even though I am standing on the marker seeing no sign of Gulum Ei. I've been stuck on this for quite a while so if anyone knows where he is or how I can fix this I would greatly appreciate it.
