I have followed without registering this board for awhile looking at all of the amazing mods made for Oblivion and finally decided to give modding my game a shot. I caught Oblivion GOTY on steam sale a couple of months ago and wanted to try installing FCOM. I know this is an ambitious goal for somebody who has no idea what they are doing but I decided to give it a try anyway. Well I have tried several times and several different ways and have not gotten anything to work. I tried the FCOM superpack which I believe most of you are not a fan of but I figured it would be the most tailor made for me since I had no experience. I could not get that to work, now I am trying through install guides such as the one for TESCosi but it seems fairly intimidating. I am not computer illiterate by any means but I am also certainly no expert. My biggest problem is figuring out where to install everything whether to the steam games folder or to the actual folder containing oblivion itself. Is there anyway anybody can severely dumb down an installation guide for me? Am I biting off more than I can chew here by going for such a major overhaul with no experience? I love TES games but oblivion was definitely my least favorite out of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim and I believe these overhauls would change my opinion of it significantly. Sorry if this has already been asked I did search the forum but found nothing that seems applicable or very recent. Thanks for any and all who would be willing to give me some help.
