Could The Last Dragonborn Start A New Royal Bloodline?

Post » Wed Mar 13, 2013 9:40 am

If I'm mistaken on anything I'm about to write then shoot me down with a flaming arrow.

Talos was a Dragonborn. He then became Tiber Septim. He fathered an unknown child. And on his deathbed he proclaimed his grandson, Pelaglus as the new Emperor thus the Septim dynasty was born. In theory; The Last Dragonborn (who I'm going to call Ysmir for ease) sided with the Stormcloaks and freed Skyrim from the Empire. If he actually fathered a child with his [censored] instead of his pen, then Ysmir's child would have Dragonblood. If Ysmir chose, he/she could make a play for the throne of Skyrim. I mean the people would surly support the Dragonborn, the Nordic people would compare him/her to their greatest hero, Talos. Ysmir could mirror what Talos did and maybe even ascend into a God?

This is all wild speculation and I maybe wrong on everything I just said. But it seems to me, who as some understanding of TES Lore, this maybe possible.

Theoretically, yes. But not so because of his/her dragonblood, but through alliances and conquest - Skyrim would probably follow the Dragonborn, Hammerfell might join them to fight the Thalmor and after the war is won, it's easy to imagine the Dragonborn reaching for the imperial throne. The question is, what's the current situation of the Mede dynasty and do the nations (or rather, politicians in every province) want another empire or will they try to stay independent?

But yeah, it's entirely possible.

Theoretically, yes. But not so because of his/her dragonblood,

So a biological child from someone whose parent was Dragonborn, the said child doesn't have Dragonblood?

I'm talking about post-game. More like official Lore.

My whole post is pretty much spoilers,

Spoiler

Regardless of whether or not the player completes the Dark Brotherhood questline, I'm going to assume that Emperor Titus Mede II gets assassinated one way or another for the sake of retroactive continuity. With all the promotional images showing the Dragonborn as a male Nord, it is possible that the next emperor, or the one after the next emperor, is a Nord descended from the Dragonborn. I doubt it'd be the Dragonborn himself though.

While that is true, I was thinking could Ysmir start a Dragonblood bloodline.
