Moving an NPC to a new home

So I'm in Riften and a courier approaches me with a letter informing me that Grosta (Heartwood Mill) has died. I don't have a save old enough to just load from before she died. Aaaand since I didn't get close enough to the mill to even notice there was an attack of any kind... *opens console, resurrects Grosta* -- and now she's back to the way she was. And that's fine except Grosta has a kid who the game now considers an orphan, and I'm ocd about things like this.

I use the console again to move her kid (Gralnach) to Heartwood Mill, and then console again to remove him from the orphaned children list (PotentialChildrenFaction) and add him back to the Heartwood Mill factions (there are two of them). SO the adoption dialogue for the kid is gone but his AI package still considers Honorhall to be his home and I cannot seem to find a way to reset it to Heartwood Mill. Does anyone know of a way to alter where a particular npc considers home? I'm open to requesting/downloading a mod on nexus, if that's what it takes. Failing that, I'll just ignore the kid and keep playing as-is.

Also, 'recycleactor' does nothing.





Long Story Short: NPC dies while I'm not close enough to notice. Resurrect her but the game still considers her kid to be an orphan. Reset his factions to the way they were to begin with but he still lives/sleeps in the orphanage. Help?

You could try killing the kid with the console and reset him as well? What command did you use to bring Grosta back? Placeatme?

Also I got the kid back to "normal"... instead of trying to kill/reset him, I used markfordelete and then (thanks to your reply) player.placeatme

Should've been able to resolve this on my own, but thanks.
