Skyrim Races.

I think players should be able to play as a Dwemer, Maormer, Falmer (snow elf not corrupted), and Dremora. Those would be interesting races to play as. Whats your opinions on this matter?

No. Those races are gone except for Knight-Paladin Gelebor.

I'd rather see more ingame reactions to the races we already have before adding new ones. For example, a dwemer walking around and the general populous not flipping their lids wouldn't make sense.

No, the ten races are common, the other races are too rare, the dwemer are all gone, the maomer are in pyandonea (spelling?), there is only one non corrupted snow elf left, and the dremora are all in various realms of Oblivion.

It's kinda hard for one just to pop up and have him be inconspicuous

Holy [censored], I spelled that word right on my first try, I am proud of myself.

I think we have enough races however If beth brings a new playable race that is not lore breaking unless they change the lore then sure.

The race isnt actually dead. Snow elves have been hiding for years upon years, They are still out there just hidden away. Dwemer also did not die out. They up and vanished. In fact one of them was walking around in Morrowind if I remember correcly. After the supposed disipearance of the race one was still walking around hmmm? So it is possible for there to be more. Also as for the Maormer they do exsist just fine. They just live on a secluded island away from people. They are a race of elf, look it up they are far from extinct. Also in the note of Dremora There has been cases in which one would come to Tamriel and would do as it pleases. For instance a popular story of one. Involved it being an extremely popular pirate for several years, Burried his treasure before he returned and your character can actually find that treasure in skyrim.

Well, to be honest, if TES VI was set in Pyandonea, I wouldn't mind introducing maomer as an eleventh race, but ONLY if it's set in Pyandonea, which I doubt.

I highly doubt TES VI will be set outside of Tamriel. We still have other provinces to explore.

Summerset Isles
Hammerfell
Black Marsh
The Khajjit homeland. (Didn't want to bother butchering the name.)
Valenwood

And I'm sure I missed something else...

I doubt it as well, and I'd like to see the other provinces as well before moving on. Also, we saw Hammerfell in TES II.

I guess you could count the entirety of Morrowind on that list, considering TES III was set in Vvardenfell,

Again, I doubt we'll see a: TES VI:Morrowind II

No one said the Dwemer were dead.

The one you mentioned though. I've heard he was away in someother place when the disappearance happened. Leaving him to be the last Dwemer remaning.

Most TES fans know all this, it's not like you're pulling from some obscure MK lore.

It never said he was the only one that "was someother place"

Also I know this I specificly said what needed to be said in order to get the nay sayers to leave the conversation so the serious people could stay and talk about the subject

That's assuming the common man could tell them apart from the other elves at a glance.

This thread gave me cancer. :brokencomputer:

First of all I'll start with your Dwemer claim. There was one Dwemer left because he was in a different plane, and he got corprus. All of the Dwemer are completely gone, and never coming back, ever. And Maormer aren't even from the Aldmer race that migrated to the Summerset Isles. They either came way before the Aldmer did or are from a completely different background. Nobody is impressed with your, "masterful" knowledge of lore. If you plan on going on the forums filled with people who know and understand more lore than you ever will, who certainly aren't impressed with your shoddy information, maybe you should read a up a bit more.

Rant over.

It is completly possible for the races I have selected here to be usuable. I could have been more absurd and said well lets be able to use a Sload, Imga, Keptu, Ayleid, Lilmothiit, or even Tsaesci. That would have been just crazy

I never said they came over with them. They are still considered a bread of elf that pre-date the Aldmer. I have been following and reading extensivly since morrowind came out and I started playing it. My knowladge of Elderscrolls Lore is just fine and dandy. So perhaps before you start insulting people you should know what YOUR talking about.

Also on a side note for all those who think dwemer are done for sorry to tell you but it was leaked that an explansion will be coming out about the return of them. You can look up the video on youtube.

It'd be fairly obvious as soon as you start talking about magic like it's science. At the very least they'd know something was different about you.

Again, pointless name dropping isn't going to impress anyone here. And like I said, it is not possible for the Dwemer to come back, their souls were consumed during the use of the Heart of Lorkhan. And if even if there happened to be one or two that someone how survived it would be so unlikely that we would be able to play them. That would completely contradict the whole way the TES games work. Skyrim is an RPG, how do you expect to RP when your story race, gender, and identity are already chosen for you? Also, you mentioned the Ayleid, they are all gone too, but I doubt you knew that because you haven't the slightest knowledge of TES lore.
