Multiplayer - liitle FPS on the map "Museum"

Post » Fri Mar 15, 2013 12:54 pm

Like in the subject. Often he is happening, that on this map terribly is playing lag. This way do you also have? Particularly persons with the worse PC? I have E8400 @3GHz, 4 GB DDR2, Radeon HD6870, Win 7 x64, drivers/directx the newest. Settings minimum. Often very much it is hard there to play it in such "conditions".

The map Museum is the most unoptimized/resource hungry map. It may be due to many factors, but there isn't anything graphically intesive happening on the map as far as I know. In some spots of the map when you look at a particular direction the FPS just drops heavily. I have the same performance issue, and am only able to get smooth gameplay by setting visual detail to low when playing on it. I suspect that some effects strain the CPU heavily on that map, because playing on it solo (when the server is empty and you have a pre-match round) there are no fps drops, but when players start entering and the match begins the performance is severely reduced.

Your cpu is not good enough, especially not overclocked

Little it will be possible to turn up (I had 3,6 GHz max , but problem probably and this way he was). This map is one great tip without the optimization. I would have to not buy the game but spend in the PC.

This game requires a quad core cpu to run at least decently.

That still doesn't resolve the issue, this thread is about low FPS on ONE particular map, namely "Museum", if he can run the other maps fine, then there is something wrong with the map not his necessarily his system. You can't just blame it on hardware alone. Other have reported the same issue on the map "Museum", users who have quad cores:

So your hardware argument for this specific topic is invalid.

My RIG is capable of maintaining a comfortable FPS on Museum map.

What resolution are you playing the game at?

Also, I would suggest getting a new GPU if you intend on playing this game at higher settings.
