i watched a youtube video series called- Rags to riches.

the guy had to earn enough money to buy the solitude house.
he wouldn't do quests.
he would never kill anyone except for self defence.
he would hunt and cut wood.
eat 3 times a day.
sleep atleast 8 hours.
he only wears clothes, hide boots and a fine hat.
low damage weapons Hunting bow and iron dagger.
have a follower do the killing when attacked by bandits.

when you have to do the quest for solitude to earn proudspire you must have a follower do the work.

i have done this before and it was quite fun.

you must drop everything exept for your ragged clothes and footwraps after leaving helgen (store them in a respawning container, Don't sell them) then start trying to become rich by selling everything you dont need.

Don't Do Quests. Some Misc quests are ok.

That's pretty cool. I might try it on a character at some point, who knows.
