Is Skyrim Dark Brotherhood Canon?

I believe I once read that it was canon for the Dragonborn to assassinate the Emperor. Is this true?

All of the faction storylines become canon, its just not always accepted that the player is the one responsible.

Yes, but exactly who will be unknown. It could be Dovahkiin, or it could be someone else.

Pretty much, we'll be seeing a new emperor next game or hear about him.

Chances are that they'll write it in such a way that who won doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

Mede was assassinated and the Dark Brotherhood was almost destroyed. Who did these things is a mystery. Although I'd bet money that in future games the killer will be described as a surviving Dark Brotherhood assassin.

Or both leaders end up being incompetent and a new Jarl is selected as a High King and a treaty is signed or something.

My two bits...
Both the leaders if mentioned at all are dead.
Skyrim is removed from the empire like Hammerfell, reason being the war going on there was too costly.
