Hi all, Could you please share with me a link to where I can read about the Civil War and how it all started and went down?

Thanks I've been looking all over the place but can't seem to find the right source. I know its about High King being duel and murdered but what else? Why did the person who dual him Ulfric (if i got it right) go to jail?

Ulfric Stormcloak challenged High King Toryyg to a duel, which he subsequently won. Rogvir of Solitude, a guard, allowed him to escape, as it was legally allowable in Skyrim tradition (the duel).

Ulfric fled back to Windhelm, where he started the rebellion, rallying the Stormcloaks to his cause. He was captured in 4E 201, along with the Dragonborn, and taken to Helgen to be executed by military governor of Skyrim: General Tullius, an Imperial leading the legions in Skyrim.

Ulfric escaped after Alduin's attack and went back to Windhelm, where he continued to wage war on the Empire in Skyrim.

Ulfric only went to jail after the Markarth Incident, which occurred BEFORE Ulfric was even the Jarl of Windhelm, and way before the Civil War began. And even before that he had been captured and interrogated in the Great War.

I understand everything you said but you got me lost from this.. Could you explain this part again please thanks..
