This current computer was the first i got in my life, in december 2009, and when i got it i was happy.I Purchased ithe componants on a real market but found out, much later, i could have paid less for better.
However the cost was about 1200 euros: I paid this for a 19'' screen, a E8400 duocore and a gtx 275+ P5QSE2, xhich replaced the inital P5CQ motherboard for stabilities issues.
Back then i was just starting to learn the things about hardware pc and all this complicated stuff.
Until know i have run every game i got perfectly, except the witcher 2 where i just gpt 30-50 FPS,and GTA4 or MAFIA 2 which i couldnt max out, but that wasnt important cause i could play smoothly.
So i felt sad when i learnt that decision cause i truly believed it could run on my computer, since i could do so with all other games.
In the end since i prefer RPGS, that was less important, but yet ,somehow, i had the feeling that Crytek decision was targetting me. I know its absurd, but i had the feeling it was somehow "negating" the efforts i had made to get what i have.
So i believed i could change this situation, granted that players have been able to change things in games in the past: getting drms removed from games because they affected buyers, balancing the game when it was necessary(Diablo 3).
I was also hoping that since EA is often said to constantly dream about money, that could make them ask Crytek to bring the dx 10 support. I was betting on the "money temptation".
I was also thinking players could do something about it, for example a player discovered EA could have done SimCity offline, so that didnt seem completely impossible to make Crysis 3 DX 10-9 friendly.
