help me tweak my pc

Post » Wed Mar 20, 2013 12:29 am

Hi guys I would like some help on setting up my pc for a better Crysis gaming experience I don't have the best pc and 90% of the time when someone asks for help people say get a better pc, look the game is running all good but I would like to know how to tweak the game for less lag in multi player. I'm playing on S.A servers so my ping is low between 45 and 60.... so that's not the problem.

my graphics card is a bit of a bummer but look it a laptop and a high end one so I think might be wrong, here is my pc specs

Dell N5010
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU q740@1.73GHz 1.73GHz
RAM 4GB
system type 64-bit
graphics card AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5650 (1GB)

I would like to know should I turn off Vsync should I turn off anti-anolysing and reduce my resolution for a better frame rate, I would just like some tweaking tips please help if you can

Thanks

I run AA off with settings on low in MP to greatly enhance my FPS. Get around 200 fps in MP. Even though my rig is top notch, you can't tell the difference cuz the gameplay is fast.

You seriously need more RAM, at least 8GB. The amount of RAM you have, besides your CPU, is the single biggest factor impacting your performance. With the prices DDR3 is going for today, there's really no reason not to upgrade.

It looks like you're running off of a laptop :

http://ark.intel.com/products/49024/Intel-Core-i7-740QM-Processor-6M-cache-1_73-GHz

As the 740QM is a mobile processor. It does support up to 8GB of RAM though.
