to something more like
([armor]*.52)^(3/4)=%damageresist
??
I feel like this would be a much better equation for many reasons but in general damageresist from armor needs to be higher at lower armor values and slow down it's benefits for each additional armor rating at higher values.
PS I firmly expect the answer to be no..
