Eye of Argonia mod- looking for lore advice!

So I'm working on a mod that involves the player tracking down the Eye of Argonia. Obviously we know next to nothing about this artifact (and Argonian religion), so I thought it seemed like a good opportunity to improvise a few things.

However, in the interests of my mod not being total crap, I thought I'd run a few lore-snippets by the lore-khans.

1. According to http://www.imperial-library.info/content/arrival-stros-mkai-part-3, the Eye of Argonia is the "king's jewel" of Black Marsh. Now, I've never played Redguard so I dunno if that dialogue was taken from the game or what, but I liked it, so I'm using the Eye as a kind of Argonian equivalent of the Amulet of Kings or the Jagged Crown. Basically, one of the main characters of the mod is Heedal, an Argonian who claims to be the rightful king of Black Marsh, and wishes to use the Eye to legitimize his claim and (eventually) overthrow the An-Xileel
Spoiler
(as he's a 500-year old Lich who witnessed the rest of the royal family being butchered by their own Shadowscales, under the orders of Hellena Septim, and wants to free his people from the rule of the An-Xileel tyrants).

2. The Eye, in addition to being a fancy-pants jewel once owned by the Argonian royal family, is an artifact of Padomay. It's more like the Holy Grail than it is a Daedric artifact- it's associated with Padomay, but not made by him/her/it.
I went with Padomay, because it's a deity/entity that the Argonians, or at least the Hist, seem to have a lot of reverence for, and the Thalmor (surprise, surprise) are also searching for the Eye, presumably to destroy it in their mission to erase Talos and/or Lorkhan from existence (as Lorkhan is related to Padomay and all).

2a. But what would the Argonians even call Padomay? I was thinking Sithis (or even Seth, which seems to be what they called him back during Arena). But I also noticed in The Monomyth, that there's a version of Anu and Padomay called "Ak" and "El", which were listed together as "Ak-El".
To me, Ak-El sounds like a very Argonian name, and I thought it'd be cool if Ak-El was thought of as a single entity, like the Redguards with Satakal.

2b. I have no idea what the Eye of Argonia should do. I was thinking some kind of "antimatter" effect, (to tie into the whole Anu-Padomay dichtonomy), or in other words, an always-on Ward effect (or 60 second Greater Power, at least).

So... thoughts? Corrections? Suggestions?
