Crytek: Bad Matchmaking is killing the population

We need a better matchmaking that at least tries to match people of equal progression level (XP), tries to pit squads against squads, and above all does not put you again and again into the lobby you just left.

I played a few games last night against... I don't know, JMT, JBT some Clan like that. 5 people I think in a Squad, Crash Site and Spears. They dominated against randoms as you expect them to do, with Retriever, Maneuverability, Rapid Fire, Auto-Armor, Typhoon, the usual "skilled" setup - I'm sorry, but those setups speak of nothing but a lack of skill to me and telling people they should "copy" those setups and playstyles will only lead to taking away all the variety in the game and make everyone run around with Maneuverability and bunny-hop with hip-fire Typhoon setups - and pretty much everyone on my team left at least once, hoping to find another game.

But you don't. You get thrown into the same exact game over and over again. I tried myself, and got into the same lobby six times in a row. I don't mind the challenge, or the deaths, but constantly playing with 2 vs 6 because people keep leaving over and over again, just to join again and leave again, is not a lot of fun.

And the Matchmaking does not even allow you to look for another lobby. I mean, how difficult can that be? I leave a lobby for a reason, mostly because I don't want to play in it anymore, why is it the game cannot understand that and mark that lobby as "to be avoided"? And it's not like it searches and searches and then finally puts you back into the lobby you just left, it's instantaneous.

Why is that? Because there are not enough people playing? Not really. It's simply terrible matchmaking. Even with the low population, if Crytek made at least some rudimentary effort to try and match progression levels, or pit squads against squads, or at least not put you back into the lobby you just left, the experience for all players would most definitely be a lot more enjoyable.

It's significantly better than C2. In C2 I was always up against a team of 50lvlers and I had a team of 30lvl players...It's waaay better now.

Also, if you don't like the server, play on another one.

No servers for consoles. Only quickmatch and game type, then the search kicks in. As to C2 being worse, first, I don't think so; second, why should that matter?

You still get squads of six level 50s against five level 20-30 all the time. All. The. Time. And then you leave the lobby and the game puts you right back in. Not after searching for other games, but right back in.

PC people would be crying their eyes out if they couldn't choose servers. Well, consoles can't. Console matchmaking gives you lopsided games with a squad of five level 50s and one random level 50 on one team, and five random level 20s on the other team. Not even inter-team balance is working.

So many people complain - or just leave - because of constantly getting matched up against full squads and/or higher levels with better unlocks. The population is small, but it's not small enough to justify no matchmaking filter except a regional one.

Filters should at least be:

Total XP earned;
Squads against Squads (so you have to wait a while until another squad is found, so what?);
Designate the last lobby you left as to be avoided in future searches;

How could that harm? How could that not be possible? How would that not improve matchmaking for everyone on console?
