Can you "update" a package parameter thru a script ?

ie, the starting point of a patrol package.

I have (example) 2 xMarkers and dialog will determine which Marker I want to start the patrol at.
The packages do the EXACT same think only different starting points.

So much more effecient to be able to update a parameter.
