Don't you find it weird how so much of this made it into DLC?

"got it, got it, got it, dont got it, got it"

Alright well its not really a surprise but its funny to witness each thing coming out with bits of the jam.

It's obvious we'll be getting most of this in the future.

I don't know about that. Much of it has made its way in, but some of the more interesting bits (flow-based water, SPEARS, seasonal foliage) probably never will.

Annoying song, btw.

This is what I'm hoping as well. Even the giant mudcrab looks like it'd be fun to fight.

Not at all. What did you expect would happen?

Todd: Okay everyone, that's a wrap for Vanilla Skyrim! Everyone do whatever you want for a week and let's see what you come up with!

Staff: Yay!

*Staff works diligently for a week*

Todd: Okay everyone, what did you come up with?

*Staff shows its work*

Todd: Wow, this is all amazing! I'm gonna show it off at DICE!

Staff: Cool! So do you think we'll implement it as DLC at some point?

Todd: Hahahaha, no. I'm not gonna implement the ideas you all already started on and have working in some capacity or another. Instead, we'll do something entirely different and that you don't feel inspired by.

What I do think is weird is that we got seriously watered down versions of some of these ideas... *glares at Dragonborn*

Recently? No. Watching it the first time was enough.

Surprised? No not really, they know a good idea when they see one so when one of those is added (in some way/shape/form) I'm not surprised. I wouldn't mind those new arrows, assassin vision, fat giants and I'd love to fight that mudcrab.
"I've fought mudcrabs harder than you" ....I see what they mean...

Yeah the ideas are great as they were shown but they could've done MUCH better. Its good but its not great.

I can imagine some of the stuff such as seasonal foliage and flow based water won't be released/added to the game.
Primarily because with this engine I can see their being a bit of a hardware hit and not everyone is going to have a system that can handle it (kinda like the high res texture packs)

I actually have watched the game jam again recently, and I thought pretty much the same thing you, OP.

The dark caves and water currents were a part of Darkfall Cave no?

exactly. And the hulking draugr was randomly added in DB

Why, WHY are they taking so much time to add spears? ;_;.

I suppose to either do it right or to not do it at all.

I agree, and it's a shame, because flow based water was the thing I was most interested in. I know the Xbox won't be able to handle it (well, I don't know, but I assume it can't), but hopefully the next gen consoles can.

Would love to see the water fixed. Some of the things they have added have been great though. So nice that they actually used a lot of the things that came out of the game jam.

Our consoles would be pissed at us; PS3 would explode and Xbox would red ring you. Especially if you added the water effects.

The foliage and water effects would certainly be very aesthetically pleasing.
