Hello there,

I recently completed the quest "The White Phial". I read up on the quest afterwards and realises there was a follow-up quest in which you repair the cracked phial you retrieved in the first quest. Being an alchemist decorating an alchemy tower in his Hearthfire house, I was pretty eager to get my hands on this. Disappointingly, it turns out that you need access to the Throat of the World in order to complete the quest. It was never my intention to become Dragonborn in this playthrough, and I intend to keep it that way. So instead of starting the Main Quest line, I did some tedious platforming and made my way up to the Throat of the Wolds that way. Yet, the quest "Repairing the White Phial" will still not trigger. A courier is meant to send you a message a few days after conpleteing the first quest, "The White Phial", but that hasn't happened yet. Is this because although i have access to The Throat of the World, I'm technicly not supposed to be there? Anyone have any ideas on how I can progress in this quest without becoming Dragonborn? I'm an Xbox player, so I don't have access to Console Commands. Thanks in advance!

No. Throat of the Word is a prerequisite quest.

See Post #2, I have a character that has known the Location of the Throat of the World for over twenty levels and weeks of Gameplay. After visiting for the actual Quest, the Courier delivered the letter.
