Is it hard to roleplay on the xbox 360?

Post » Sun Mar 24, 2013 3:01 am

ive been thinking of role playing because it seems like it could be really fun. it seems its much easiar to do it on a pc.
so can it be done?
is it enjoyable doing it on a console or is it not worth it and a waste of time?

I can do it and I do enjoy it on PS3 so I don't see why not. I guess that really depends on what you want to get out of it.

Roleplaying can be done on any platform. Heck, you can go roleplay in your backyard.

Nah, it's not easier to roleplay on PC, you just have more options. But what you lack in mods, you more than make up for in imagination - TES games are an excellent ground for roleplaying, with or without mods.

So go for it :)

You can do it on either the PS3 or the Xbox.

It's just the experience is way better on the PC.

I do it all the time. You don't have roleplaying mods like you would on PC, but it's still easy to do.

So you want to RP with Stormcloak stuff? Well, get yourself some guard's armor, maybe some officer armor, and RP yourself as special agent since you can still hunt out Imperial Camps.

Maybe you can RP as the equivalent of a Thalmor Justicar, hunting out Imperials and Elves in Skyrim.

Maybe you have to live off the land as a Mercenary who is justified by the government but despised by the people? Can't own a home, lives in an abandoned shack (Alchemist's shack?)

It's all up to you, that's the beauty of roleplaying. Think about your character some, and think about what THEY would do, not necessarily what YOU would do. You can go as deep or as shallow as you want.

I currently RP with two characters. One is deep into the Hearthfires DLC and is just a loving father who is also an expert jewelry maker and goes around selling his wares to feed his children and cook them great meals because he is a chef by hobby.

It all revolves around your character's personality. Every action, every choice of dialog, every direction they walk...

Before you do anything, just ask yourself..." What would my character do?"

In a sense, you are writing an interactive story. Platform is completely irrelevant.
