They should be in the game.
Paladins would be slaying undead, restoration, and crime fighting while the Black Knights would be necromancers, illusion magic, and magic that makes their undead more powerful. Might be kind of repetitive because of the Dawngaurd vs Vampires.

Yeah...what exactly is the purpose of this thread? To explain what a paladin and black knight are?

Crusader

Any heavily armored warrior with spellcasting powers and a good cause may call himself a Crusader. Crusaders do well by doing good. They hunt monsters and villains, making themselves rich by plunder as they rid the world of evil.

Are you saying there should be Black knights and Paladins in the game? Or do you want a guild for them?

"Paladins" are in the game in the form of Crusaders. Their evil counterparts would mostly be reflected in Sorcerers.

You can EASILY play as any of them (ESPECIALLY if you have Dawnguard installed)

Don't we have these already? The Vigilant and the Necromancers?

Can you join either faction?

In a roundabout way, yes...You can join the Vigilants sister group, the Dawnguard, which is about as Paladin as you're going to get.
As for Necromancers...Joining the Dark Brotherhood and getting REALLY into Sithis is what you have. They like death.

One can create a black knight of sorts, creating a spellsword that uses conjuration, with your typical 1 handed-heavy armor-smithing build, and use daedric armor for teh looks.

But I want a black version of the plate armor, I really want it. and no, ebony don't do the job and daedric sometimes is not close enough.
