Mod which changes the era

Post » Fri Apr 02, 2010 12:07 am

Nothing quite like the majestic world of Morrowind. One question has popped up, however.
When playing multiple characters... how does it work? Their stories aren't necessarily intertwined. Oftentimes, they just take place in "alternate dimensions"/copies of the existing world.
What if we modded something a bit more -- concrete? Another period during which the game could take place? Perhaps post Nerevarine. Or not, as his/her rise to power might, with it, bring dramatic changes to the world. Or maybe it has. I really wouldn't know. Don't spoil it for me.

Does this sound feasible?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking...

There are mods which deals with the aftermath of the main quest like: Vivec's Fate: The Ashlander Heresy. Your can find it at PES http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=4590. Don't know if the mod is good since I've never played it.

Is it something like this you are hinting at?

I used to use this one in combination with the full forested morrowind set of mods. My train of thought being it was many years after the morrowind crisis and the island's flora had regrown. This worked ok until I wanted to do the main quest again. Now I just have forested MW and a second install without it if I feel like playing in the original setting.

I'm not aware of anything else besides total conversions, but those aren't set in MW obviously.
