Nah, I'm glad we didn't though I wish we could've started up a vampire worshiping cult at the end of Dawnguard if you sided with the Vampires...would've been cool to rebuild the castle and have a functioning cult to serve the character.

My favorite is when one partucular Dragonborn of mine, after completing both the Main Quest and Stormcloak quests, decided to join the companions. I walk in there wearing the skins of the dragons I'd slain, go to their leader, and ask to be in his club.

Farkas: Who is this milk drinker? I've never even heard of him.

Then he wanted to "test my arm". Poor Farkas, I was already 1-shotting giants at that point.
yep stuff like that is incredibly anoying, if farkas isnt essential he would be dead before he can even finish his speech

Believe you mean Vilkas. Farkas is too much of a cuddly wuddly bear good guy to say that. :>

....None too bright though :P

Hmm...

Well I have a legion of House Carls who will carry anything I tell them to, attack people on command, and even let me take off all their armor and make them run naked through the snow. I also have a large group of assassins at my beck and call living just north of Dawnstar, a whole college of mages who call me master, a den of thieves in Riften, a few dragons, an army of vampire hunters, and a bunch of werewolf mercenaries, also willing to follow me and let me steal all their things.

So I'd say my cult is coming along nicely.

The dawnguard aren't the DB's to command and even so the Dawnguard still act pretty much like dikes to the Dragonborn, the thieves guild wouldn't follow the DB's order's blindly nor does the College, being the listener doesn't really mean anything except you give the orders that the Night mother tells you to give also I wouldn't call that pathetic bunch a large group of assassins, the Dragons don't follow the Dragonborn they follow Paarthunax and even so there are some that remain independent.

I have several Dragons at my command, thank you very much. Odhaviing. Durnehviir. And any poor schmuck I happen to decide to use bend will on.

Point I was making is:

No, we don't technically have a cult. But the elements are there to role-play one if you want. Force every character who is a potential follower to wear one particular set of clothes/armor. That'll help.

You don't technically control them though...they offer their services as part of a deal, not out of servitude so essentially they are more of friends that are there to help you out after you agreed to give them freedom and bend will isn't permanent.

Why must you pick so many nits?

You're totally right. But this is where roleplaying comes in. I can use my imagination to make it as if I have a cult. That's all I'm saying.
