Ok so I would love to start playing Morrowind. I have the gold edition with all the expansions and I have started it up and just fooled around for about 20 minutes. Before this I have played Skyrim, and while I try to avoid mods that change the core gameplay to much I have installed about 100 graphic mods. I can imagine there are a lot of those for Morrowind to.

My question is essentially what steps I should do and what I should install or tweak to get the best out of the game?
I have a monster computer that can run Skyrim with everything maxed out so performance issues should not be a problem.
I have heard Morrowind have some huge overhauls, changing of engines and all that. I want to get as good graphics as I can, but I dont want to sacrifice the core game (if it is not something that REALLY improves the game).

Is there someone here who have advice on what I should install? Mods, ini tweaks, anything?
Also, I actually enjoy playing Skyrim with my 360 controller, is that possible to do with Morrowind? (The reason I like it, is because of the anolog feel you can get with walking slow or faster, so some xpadding emulation would not work with that i think).
