I roleplay a lot because I find it more fun, and I was wondering if it was possible to "move in" to some abandoned home or campsite. Like could I put excess items in a dresser in a Nelson house? Could I put my spare food and ammunition in a footlocker at an empty prospector camp? Or would NPCs take it/ would it despawn?
