Hi guys, would like to know is Crysis 3 Multiplayer (PC) hosted by dedicated servers owned or managed by Crytek/EA? Or is it basically 3rd party community supporting them by hosting their own servers opened to the public? If there's no dedicated servers I'll give my money to dice & buy Bf3 Premium Edition. No dedicated servers = Lag

There are no EA/Crytek servers. However the servers are provided by authorized EA server providers and players rent them to play which exactly EA/Crytek would do if they had servers running. Basically no difference in short. To clarify, servers are not players' personal computers.

However there is a lag issue with the game which should hopefully be solved by Crytek by fixing the code that causes lags. That I have to say.

Thanks for the reply Jedi. So if one day those kind players decides to stop paying & close down their servers.. Am I right to say it'll be the end of crysis 3 mp as Crytek isn't providing any servers & relying on players to provide the community with their own servers?

You are welcome. Theoretically yes, that'd be the end of Crysis 3 MP but practically not likely. Even Crysis 2 and 1 has servers running. It's safe to assume that there will always be some servers running here and there...

There is no P2P option like the console versions(which svck but means you just need 2 players to keep the game alive)?
