Mod to reduce the amount of food, meds, and chems?

Give some feedback on the mods you chose when you've played with them I like to hear peoples opinions on mods.

hey harmy, just to give some feedback as your request, after trying all the mods out I have decided to stick with -arwens realism tweaks- simple needs- with XFO med rarity esp.- and- savage wastelands, unfound loot meds, high esp.- and have decided to wait untill stevedog finishes the food part of Savage wastelands.

Although parts of -its bubbly- are superior to the above mentioned and replace most of them the actual application of it felt a little unfinished, I had to find a bottle filling mod and test 4 or so to find a compatable one. It did not touch stats, or leveling, or running speed, So in the end I had to stick with Arwens full Tweaks and simple needs there

As with -Scbop- again Arwens pretty much takes care of that with her level system that forces you to specialise and with Savage Wastelands making the only stat that dident mean anything mean something -Luck- imo that fixed everything for me.

oh yea im running deadly radiation, and triage to make radiation a bit of a concern, and triage to help with the cripple effects

really the only thing I want changed is the rarity of food, well that and to reduce the weight of the blanket in blanket V3 mod its 10lbs! hell of a blanket there -LOL-

but thats just my little take on things, other folks might hate my setup, but it really fixes everything for me

it was really hard to say no to -its bubbly- though but in the end it caused more head ache and things left undone or left out than the above, oh yes again it might be a bug or intentional but in -its bubbly- I noticed a carton of cigs was worth 200 caps?

Negative feedback is often more valuable than the positive. I'd like to hear more specifically what you felt to be unfinished or to be a headache.

Anything that changes water is going to run into conflicts with some of the water bottling mods out there. There are several different ways to do bottling. The version I'm working on now is all about compatibility with other mods. One of them is Fallout Foods, which includes water bottling along with its cooking features.

The cigarette prices are a relic of my earliest brainstorming on the healing module. There was going to be a wide variety of new ingestible chemical/pharmaceutical items, including usable cigarettes. The healing design got streamlined considerably, but I decided to leave the increased cigarette price as it was, considering the ramifications of #1, they're addictive, and #2, they aren't being made anymore. Costs of packs and cartons increased proportionally to the cost of a single cigarette.

hey no problem there, and please dont take me wrong, its a good mod, I enjoyed it,im still using bubbly weather, love the gloom and doom! and it really was not that big a deal finding a bottle mod it just would be nice to have a more compatible version, but sounds like you are working hard on that

again, no idea that was in the design, actually great idea,if the cartons are-ultra rare- for a player like my self

#1 barter system make it hard to get a hold of caps my idea of wasteland is taking the best junk you can scrap together and making due untill you might do better unless you have a high barter skill buy high and sell low would be the idea I guess

#2 leveling system it would be nice to see a more rpg system where you are forced to specialise your character make it difficult to add points to untagged skills and have fewer points to spread around I would direct your attention to Arwens 3.3 for a more concrete way of explaining my idea it just felt silly to have a small guns skill of 75 at level 3 again

#3 rarity of food, water, chems, dont be afraid to tighten the thumb screws on this one make it a real challenge to get your daily bread

and I guess IMHO it seems everybody keeps trying to re invent the wheel on alot of mods as far as health systems go I would look no further than -triage- for ideas or some others but above all -imo- keep things simple a bandage for a crippled limb is enough maybe with say 12hrs rest and leave it at that head injuries maybe 24hrs and a bandage would be good

and I think maybe the carying weight seems a little much but really I feel so bad saying anything negative about anybodys work that I have no idea how to even begin to make a simple mod I just find it hard to fathom carrying around alot of weight and still being able to fight

those were just a few observations of hiccups I ran into, everything worked fine it would just be nice to see things as far as leveling economy and health a little more fleshed out maybe encumbrance could use a little love too

I hope this helps with work on your mod thanks for making it for all of us to try out and enjoy :)

#s 1-3, and carrying weight are all existing aspects of It's Bubbly! Perhaps what I need is reorganization of the readme.
I was aware of Triage, as well as RealInjuries/PrimaryNeeds, before I began my healing mod. It would have been nice to avoid the extra work, but nothing that existed served my aims.
It's always helpful to know what people are thinking, though.

hey Rhoark, well maybe I had a conflict somewhere? because leaving the vault and going through level 5 felt similar to vanilla? I had a high small gun skill in no time '

again with #2 it felt very vanilla like in crater side supply after a few loot runs?

#3 I guess im just glutton for punishment or just enjoy pain?

and yea the readme was not that clear on machanics, atleast for a dunce like me, but it does help me if I understand the under works of a mod

but enough Negative feedback, just to add the combat was very good IMO, a couple times I ran it and I tell ya it was brutal! but alone the damage felt alot better than anything I have played, very impressed with that, and the weather

but ya, for folks like me, maybe a better explanation of the machanics would be helpfull (example) if limb is crippled then you will sustain a penalty of -3 str -2 per 24hrs untill rest period of 6 hrs ect,ect I dont know? you understand Im sure

im going to be trying arwens new version out for a while now but after that I noticed you have a new version out, Ill run it a whole lot more and give you some more feed back on your thread or somewhere, the idea is very appealing to me and I would very much like to use it in the future

never read the book but have ordered it from amazon -the road- thanks to your introduction in the read me
