Movement in TESV

How do you want your character to move in TESV? You could go with the sort of rigid system from MW and OB, which I don't have a problem with, or you could go with a more fluid, contextual type, kind of like assassins creed, except not to those extremes. I think it would really add to the feeling of the game if you could push and shove your way through a crowd in first person view. It would just be fun to make your way through a crowded tavern, rather than walking around the people on your way. Of course, this would benefit from Euphoria, or something like it, but it wouldn't be needed. So, what kind of movement do you want?

*Accidently brushes against a guard*

"Stop right there criminal scum!"

What did I do?

Like Assassins Creed, I don't want to see him gliding over the land.

Honestly, I like the smooth "glidey" feel player movement had in older games like Quake and even the original Half-Life. In Morrowind you sort of felt this too, at least within the context of combat - you wouldn't slow down or go into some silly view-bobbing frenzy whenever you swung your weapon like in Oblivion. But I suppose it's what all the kids are into these days.

EDIT: Oh, but yes. I'm almost certain that you didn't even accelerate in Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion. You'd tap the keyboard key and suddenly be walking with just as much speed (or lack thereof) as everybody else.

Well, we wouldn't keep the RAEG-filled guards from AC that attack you if you merely bump into them.

I get very claustrophobic very quickly in large crowds, so quickly making my way through crowds, probably to other's dismay, has sort of become an art form to me. I don't push people, of course, but I won't hesitate to jump through quickly closing gaps, or between two people talking (I try to say sorry). I would like, though its very unlikely, to see this kind of swift movement in the game, maybe a button like in Brink where when you hold it down you automatically take advantage of any quick ways through crowds.

Hopefully they make the physics more realistic. In Oblivion my khajiit with high acrobatics could jump half way across a river, and then magically go back to where he started from. It would be harder to climb stuff, but they should make it to where moving while you're jumping is alot slower unless it's forward and you jumped forward... etc.

TBH I think a sandbox-type game like series like TES can't afford to go without Euphoria or something equivalent (if that even exists) at this point. Especially since the release is still almost a year off, by then I'd hope that new games coming out would be more than ashamed to have a movement system anywhere near that of Oblivion.
