How does this game STILL not have proper cleanup?

Oh Hi there. So i bought this game when it was first released, sure enough i haven't touched it since. Never completed it, barely played it in fact. I'm sure you know why. But i did spend a lot of time in this forum in the first 2 months or so after release, mostly shaking my head in disbelief at the debacle and cursing Bethesda every chance i got. I did spend a lot of time in the old forum though, back before Oblivion even released.

Anyway, why am i here...

I had given all hopes of ever playing this game, i forgot i even had it even though i don't have many games. So i glance at the box and i feel determined to get something of enjoyment out of this 60 euros frisbee. So i come here to see if things have changed. Turns out not a lot? I can't tell just how bad things are from the post I've read, don't know if its worth playing or not, but one post caught my attention and it is related to the patch that is coming out.

They STILL haven't fixed weapons/arrows/ and other stuff not cleaning up OR lowered the cell reset timer? What? Even though it's already been done in an unofficial patch in PC?

I though this would be a priority and something that would require minimal effort on their part, unlike the memory leaks. It's just baffling. Any explanation for this other then it's Bethesda?

DTR, you're only hurting yourself. Play the game. It will probably be fine. There are some caveats: yes, dropped weapons don't clean up. I took a 1 yr hiatus from my PS3 Skyrim (I got the platinum in late Jan 2012) and found weapons scattered around the landscape. I now pick them up and insert them into the next corpse. On the Xbox (I played on that console, too) the ash remains of an NPC killed at Mage's College 400 hours earlier has never cleaned up. So what? Doesn't harm my game, Skyrim is well worth minor annoyances, but play it smartly. Save often, keep a lot of saves because you'll need them. Reload at the first sign something is screwy.

The latest patch has improved my PS3 game without the graphical sacrifices suffered on my Xbox version. It doesn't look Tomb Raider good, but it's still pretty good. I have been playing Skrim since 11/11/11, first on PS3 and then on Xbox so I could use the awesome voice command. I'm playing the DLC now, but already played them on the X. Both versions are a single character. I'd rather quit Skyrim than keep starting over after every patch like some folks do. Each version is over 500 hours.

Now, I know from this forum that the foreign discs have problems that the American ones don't but I think Beth has fixed most of that. So, in summation: play it, you'll love it.

Oh so the PAL versions have more bugs then then the American ones? LOL that's great, i didn't even know that. I'm sure mine is exceptionally bad considering it was bought at launch. Can you specify what problems the "foreign" discs have? The thing is, this type of game is not worth playing if you feel like you are constantly under the sword of Damocles. Like this is the only game i fear might damage my PS3.
