I am looking for a graphics card to play skyrim and TES online my budget is ￡300 I want to be able to play on very high settings in 1080p

Well, I'm using an AMD Radeon HD 4870, which has become fairly obsolete by now. Yet, I can run Skyrim on max settings somewhere between 40-60 FPS. So, I'd wager that you can get a reasonably priced graphics card that should max Skyrim nowadays.

I was recently looking into upgrading, and have determined that either NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 650 Ti or AMDs Radeon HD 7870 will suit my wants and needs. Hopefully that'll give you a starting point in your search for a grahpics card.

I tried the game using a GeForce GTX 560 TI and I was able to crank it up to max settings with a resolution of 1920 X 1200. You don't really need anything uberly powerful to max out Skyrim.

Ooh, thanks for the tip. In addition to upgrading, I'm also looking into saving some money while I'm at it.

Really any Radeon HD 5XXX 6XXX 7XXX series or higher should do the trick.
