A little backstory though about my char:
He's an Ex-Thalmor who now has a thalmor-destroying obsession post-tramatic guilt complex.
So pretty much.... destroying the thalmor is #1 priority. Especially after that stunt they pulled at the college of winterhold (which he had fled to in order to flee his past... though that didn't quite go as well as he would have liked. Thankfully Ancano didn't recognize him. Though anything else is secondary.... well, tertiary. Helping the common people (possibly caused by post-war guilt) through the practical application of magic is secondary.
So yeah, to help him accomplish that end, I'm wondering which one would it make more sense to join/save at helgen?
oh, some other things....
1. He stole a http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24234 So he's already in trouble with them. (Official excuse it was vengence for Winterhold. Buuut in reality, it was an excuse.)
2. This is an http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9557 run (College of Winterhold beginning), so the legion doesn't have that whole "But they tried to execute me!" burden of guilt going on this time.
but personally if that was the case i wold not play Skyrim, i would go Larp or something lol. If you are ex-Thalmor , you clearly have the intelligence and understanding of their philosophies , purpose behind their dogma etc... and more importantly their views, plans and ambitions for the provinces and lesser races of Tamriel. Now, who outside the Dominion would benifit most out of your expertise and insight?
