Introduction

War, war never changes.

The North American continent now stands at a crossroads more than 200 years following the Great Atomic War of 2077. Various nations have sprung up in the post-war world and each follow their own creed, ideology and national identity. Some seek power and others seek wealth. While some seek religious enlightenment.

Ten years following the events of Fallout: New Vegas, the Midwestern Order made contact with the various peoples of North America, bringing word of a great gathering of people's for the purposes of diplomacy. Thus have begun the great American Assemblies.

From the dazzling neon paradise of New Vegas, to the rebuilt streets of Washington D.C., and from the cold arctic north to the warm tropics of Mexico you will take control of one of these great post-apocalyptic nations and lead them to dominance, or defeat. You will use diplomacy, trade, political intigue, and of course: war to further your goals. How you choose to lead your people is up to you, and the fate of North America lies in the hands of all.

The following rules have been agreed upon:

1. War is always a possibility, ensure however that you are prepared to face the consequences. When attempting to conquer or wage war with other factions take distance and other geographical factors into consideration; for example, a west coast nation wishing to deploy it's navy to the east coast would have too do so by circumvating South America which would obviously have consequences for your plans.

Be advised: there are consequences for attempting to 'bite off more than you can chew.' If you attempt aggressive and unheeded expansion: be prepared to face such crises.

2. Do your best to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, it’s easier to read and understand and makes everything look better; in-addition it’s also hard to take delegates seriously that don’t use it.

3. Your representatives are still characters and individuals, give them personalities, backstories, interests, and feeling.

4. Please inform the rest of us if you intend to leave. The current agreed upon time for leaving without notice is one week. Beyond that, if you do not give a reason for your absense your nation is forfeit and will be dealt with accordingly. Either by someone else taking it up, or (more likely) your people becoming conquered by the opportunism of others.

5. Do not be overpowered, a point which cannot be enunciated any further. What constitutes as over-powered behaviour will often be determined in these out-of-character threads and will be discussed accordingly; present your case for your actions as see fit.

1. New California Republic - (Bosmight)
Spoiler

New California Republic

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Foa7CL3ZH8o/TteY7Xe9X5I/AAAAAAAAAII/KMaw2WkljxA/s1600/NCR+Flag.png http://www.va.gov/cpp/Images/State/CaliforniaSeal.gif

The Beginning of a Republic

The Birth of the New California Republic came with the destruction of the Mariposa Military Base, the Children of the Cathedral, and the eradication of the Khans by the Vault Dweller. This gave birth to an early post war country in a small town of Shady Sands. The New California Republic based upon the ideals of the country, the state of California was part of once before, was the United States of America.

Once Aradesh died on 2196, her daughter Tandi took power and would reign on for 54 years (Correct?) until her death on 2248. Those years were known as the Golden Age of the NCR as country progressed and grew. Law and Order was returning once more in California and the people’s quality of life increased. Some called her a queen and even in the NCR Congress to rename the NCR of the Kingdom of California with Tandi and her family at her side. Yet Tandi refused and during that time she was not considered a president but a queen. By 2242, Tandi had all of Southern California and slightly some of Baja California with Tijuana and Mexicali.

A Failing Republic

With Tandi’s death on 2248, the NCR was on a course of aggressive expansion and problems within its own governments. Corporations got more powerful and states soon started to assert their independence at a higher rate as California. NCR became more expansionist and militaristic under the Warhawk agenda into brining in new territories. This was the case of the Mojave………
When NCR settlers founded the Mojave, they saw Vegas, a shining city of the pre-war world lit up. People flocked to New Vegas in droves. The NCR wanted control of all of the Mojave but there was the Legion, and Mr. House. They all wanted Hoover Dam, which the NCR wanted and Vegas. A man named the Courier helped the NCR at one point but at Hoover Dam, he supported Mr. House and the NCR was defeated on its second battle. Routed and force to accept the terms of Mr. House, the NCR was pushed out of the Mojave and would return to home to a restless and unpredictable Republic.

The Return of the Golden State……

The War hawks were denounced and impeached on 2281 by the California Congress. Colonel Moore, General Lee Oliver, President Kimball, and other members who supported the Warhawks in Congress were kicked out and stripped of their titles and ranks. Soon new elections for positions in Congress, and president began. Former veterans of the Mojave Campaign such as Major Polati, Major Dhatri, Colonel Hsu, and others would run for Congress as they wanted to fix their country. For the presidential ticket, one of them was Chief Hanlon of the Rangers.
During the election, Hanlon would speak about the corruption of the government, and our weaknesses within it. He wanted to fix the problems of the NCR that plagued it so long and make California a prosperous country once more. On June 8, 2282 Hanlon defeated all of the other candidates and was elected as the 6th president of the New California Republic.

Hanlon during his first term would focus in bringing stability, peace and prosperity to the NCR. His main priority would be focusing on the Baja and unlike an aggressive expansion, he would steadily bring Baja communities slowly and peacefully, showing there benefits of the Republic. Hanlon would make many reforms in the government such as removing the right of states and corporation to regulate commerce thus reducing state powers and corporation powers such as Crimson Caravan Company.

During the late 2282, he made an issue with the Enclave. In law, he saw descendants of the Enclave being arrested just because of affiliation and Enclave prisoners treated poorly in the prisons. Hanlon would set free the Enclave prisoners seeing it as unjust for putting them in prisons and also attacking there settlements up in North when they were not a threat around 2250. This would create the state of Richardson up in Northern California where the Enclave survivors of the Oil Rig and Navarre were located during the 2250’s.

Other problems Hanlon had to deal with were the war between the Brotherhood of Steel. When he entered office, the Brotherhood was using guerilla tactics upon the NCR. Though by 2283, no more attacks from the Brotherhood occurred. Reports from NCR explorers in Washington reported a Brotherhood state up there.

In the Baja, the NCR was chasing something but by 2286, they were just “chasing ghosts” though they managed to bring the Baja in as divided into 2 states. North and South Baja and new states. While in the Baja, NCR prospectors discovered Gold Mines in the Baja and other natural resources. This would help develop the Baja quickly much like California during its Gold Rush back in the 1800s but also help return the NCR to gold standard. By 2287, the NCR dollar was back up to its full value and its value increasing.

By 2291, the NCR was back on track and even improving more higher than before. The Railroads located in the NCR having been fueling the growth of Californian nation sending with hopes of expanding them into Nevada. Morale is high in the NCR and New California Military with its recent addition of a Navy has only grown stronger. The power of the Brahmin barons are decreasing with the rise of large corporation such as Crimson and Rutger-Harris.
As in NCR a motto goes: Eureka I have found it! As it implies, you found a nation that is blossoming and only growing stronger. Just like California during its prewar years as one of the greatest states ever in the United States…….

Government

When Aradesh conceived the NCR in Shady Sands, he knew the United States was based upon the ideals of liberty and freedom. He got the idea and passed on some of the same stuff the United States represented but not all of it is a well-balanced system. He passed laws and amendments from his own form and thinking without looking at history. NCR would be a strong republic but have flaws that would be detrimental to the Republic.

The reforms Hanlon made during his presidency made the NCR more modeled upon the United States and has made the NCR a stronger government though corruption still exist though it was not high as once before as of 2281.

FoTa still exist and acts as the NCR’s Red Cross. They have repaired relations though while that the Directorate of Science and Industry exist for NCR research while FoTa is more on the sidelines acting as torch bearer of knowledge to the frontier and helping the people around the wastes.
Laws on Prostitution, Drugs, and Gambling vary between different states.

Economy

The NCR economy is a powerhouse on the West Coast. Agriculturally, the NCR has a diverse array of crops that can be trade and provide abundantly for the Californian people. To name a few, crops such as graqes, almonds, strawberries, Hay, rice, corn, sugar beets, and wheat are one of the many crops. In the fishing industry, NCR fisherman captures Halibut, herring, mackerel, rockfish, sablefish, salmon though the main fish they capture is Tuna. California also leads the Wine Industry.

The NCR have many mines throughout its lands and has a good variety of natural resources such as Boron, Tungsten, Silver, and Iron to name a few. The NCR has a few Uranium mines scattered throughout the country.

The only trade with other foreign powers the NCR did is Nevada which is its most important trade partner and the recently new sprung up Republic of Sierra Madre.

NCR also leads Ethanol production which allows it to maintain its Armored Units. Steam locomotives use coal or wood.

In the NCR, the movie industry was sprung to life once more in Hollywood on 2281. By 2291, movie theaters have sprung up in large cities all across the NCR such as Aradesh and San Francisco. San Francisco produces kung-fu movies in its cities. Most movies are shot in early 50s black and white.

The Railways contribute to the growth and progress of California. It allows mines from as far as the Baja be transferred to manufacturing facilities in Southern California or Oregon. A man from New Arroyo can travel to Tijuana in a week. The railroads helped create the California economy……

Tijuana is considered to the Vegas of California. Lovely Beaches lighted up casinos, drugs, six, gambling and crime with the Baja Mafia in control of Tijuana.

New Reno is considered little Vegas in California but is still popular place of destination.

Corporations of California: Crimson Corporation (Crimson Caravan Company), Armax Arms (Gun Runners), Rutger-Harris Corporation (Far Go Traders), and many smaller ones.

The NCR economy is a powerhouse and in the future could dominate economically in the future. The NCR is in second place in economy, just superseded by the pre-war house of Mr. House and Nevada.

Culture

The Culture of the NCR is the just like California during the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1945%E2%80%931960_in_fashion and this applies to the cities dwellers who have a unique culture depending on where they are from. The beach culture exists among the coasts. San Francisco has their own slang coming from Mexico, Asia and East European culture during the prewar days which still exits such as Northern Cali, Southern Cali, Central, Cali, the Baja Cali, and Oregon have their own slangs. NorCal are a much more laid back and nicer people. Southern Cali is the representation of cool in Cali. CentCali uses a mix of both SoCal and NorCal. Baja Cali and even the parts of the border states of SoCal predominately speak in Mexican dialect and slang. Oregon and even parts of NorCal Border States of retain a mix of tribal slang mixed with NorCal slang.

Towns and villages still have the same slang and each with their own different dialect depending on region but represent the United States during the late 1800s and early 1900s. ( Idont know anything about late 1800s of 1900s slang and dialect but you get the idea)

There are different cultural groups within the NCR as these are due to of the Gold Rush in the 1800s and immigration. The state Jiaolong has a high number of Asian descendants with their ancestors arriving here to escape from the Chinese who were engulfing Asia who still retain their customs such as the Chinese speaking in their own language and having Chinese names and account for 50% in the state. Southern California retains a high Mexican speaking population including the Baja. California has a highly diverse population of people from their descendants from different parts of the world.

New California Armed Forces (NCAF) or New California Military (NCM) – “The Defenders of California” (Defensores California)

The New California Military is one of the most powerful militaries in the West Coast. The size and organization of the New California Armed Forces allows a highly organized military force ready to fight against any enemy.

Mandatory Military service is a requirement in the Republic from the ages of 18-30 as reservists but also runs a program which teaches people from 40 and on how to fire a gun. The government and the military believe it as an imperative due to the close proximity of the Brotherhood of Steel up North but also to maintain a civilian force ready to defend itself and its country.

Men and women serve in the Armed Forces but also Ghouls and Mutants though there numbers are significantly less.

Militias are present in California made up of civilians with their own weaponry from Armax Arms Corporation (Gun Runners). Many had military experience making them effective fighters.

Total Numbers – 200,000

New California Army – “For the safety of Republic” (Pro salute Republic)

New California Army numbers in of 100,000 in active duty and 50,000 reservists. The NCA is largest branch of the New California Armed Forces and is responsible for defending the country. Many are drawn from the cities or the back-country. Joining the Army requires enduring 14 weeks of boot camp. At the end though, the enlistees are turned into hardened soldiers. During training they are told not to allow to showthere emotions onto the battlefield for it can jeopardize their objectives. Troops are armed with the basic NCR Service Rifle which had some minor improvements after 2281 to improve its effectiveness and reliability, a 10mm pistol, several grenades and a combat knife. The NCR have several other small arms such as submachine guns, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, etc. NCR also has a good stockpile of WW2 era weapons

New California Army maintains a several armored divisions made up of United States vehicles from WW2 and the late 50s. Its tanks are the M48 Patton, M8 Greyhound, M24 Chaffee, M7 Priests, M3 Halftrack, and other miscellaneous vehicles. The Heavy Infantry corps still exists and is acting as heavy support fire units just like the vehicles. Ethanol is used to power NCR military land vehicles.

The NCA also employ artillery such as howitzers, and mortars

The New California Rangers are an elite Special Forces group who serve as shock troopers within the New California Army but are also the protectors of NCR frontier and protection high ranking officials within the NCR. Ranking of the Rangers has changed to match that of combat troops (Major, Captain, etc.) though there experience is still denoted by a badge (Recruit, Ranger, Veteran). Rangers use weapons like Brush Rifles, Marksman Carbine, etc. But Rangers can also use Energy weapons but have to buy them personally from Armax Arms which cost a hefty price of NCR dollars in return

1st Recon units are a part of the NCA and not a distinct unit. In the Army, they are known as Snipers and are a part of infantry squads as the 1st Recon was the only sniper unit located in the Mojave.

New California Air Force – “Touch the Sky with Glory" (Tangere caelum Gloria)

The New California Air Force numbers into 20,000 in active duty and 20,000 in reserve. NCAF has Air force bases scattered throughout California and even built its new AFB upon some former United States AFB in California which was heavily damaged during the Great War. NCAF uses the F-86 Sabre as its main fighter and its heavy bomber the B-50 Superfortress. It uses the Light Bomber, the A-26 Invader. They have a few Lockheed-F104 –Starfighter interceptors. The very first pilots of NCAF trained on VR simulators found in Vandenberg. Ethanol is used to fuel the planes.

New California Navy – "Country and Honor" (Patria et Honoris)

The New California Navy is a recent new addition to NCAF and numbers up to 5,000 in Active duty and 5,000 in reserve. The NCN has 3 Gearing Class Destroyers in derelict in Naval Base San Diego. The rest of the Navy is adhoc and militia boats from NCR fisherman placed with makeshift artillery and machine guns. Patrol Boats help patrol the California coast line and are armed with M2 Browning machine guns and some with emplaced rocket launchers (Fallout style).

California Defense Intelligence Agency – “The watchful eyes of the Republic” (Pervigil oculos Republic)

The CDIA is the intelligence agency of the NCR. It was created on 2289 under Hanlon seeing how the NCR needed an organized intelligence agency. Their main objectives are to provide military intelligence, inform the Directorate of Defense (DoD) on matters of national security, homeland security, and clandestine operations into other foreign nations when deemed imperative.

Technology – Middle to High

The NCR technology capabilities are not as far reaching as the Enclave but have access to prewar technology. Places like Lynette City (Vault City) or San Francisco are scientific centers. The information in Camp Navarre house Enclave tech info which NCR scientists have slowly understood to know what they mean.

In recent times, the NCR has stumbled upon former United States government facilities and seized them to beceom research facilities. The NCR has currently a number of 3 research facilities used by the former United States government but have several research facilities scattered throughout Cali.

Sierra Army Depot (SAD) – Founded by an NCR citizen traveling to New Reno on 2246. It was ransacked though contained an experimental robotics labs and Bioresearch lab. Due to the proximity near Reno, SAD is a highly guarded facility. The viruses in storage there are kept off limits as the NCR does not wish to risk an epidemic. Now serves as a robotic and bio warfare research facility.

West Tek Facility – After the Radiation died down around 2230, NCR Military explored the facility finding advanced biology and physic facility though was ransacked by an occupant from a long time ago. Found out research papers on the FEV and the ZAX supercomputer. Serves as a weapon and biological Research facility.

EPA - The EPA facility contained bizarre biological plants. Founded on 2243, it now today serves as agricultural research and plant biology research facility.
Mariposa – Due to the nature of Mariposa with its FEV still leaking in Level 4, NCR military took anything of value of what was left in there. Mariposa is a blocked off site guarded by a robotic units and small encampment of NCR troopers to keep an eye on them on the surface.

Lost Hills – LH serves as a military base after the BOS retreated to the North. The BOS took everything they could carry.

Religion

The Republic has no official set religion but official ones include Protestantism, Catholicism, Buddhism, Mormonism, Islam, among many other religions from the prewar world. This was because many of the religions came from Vault 15. Post War regions are also allowed into the Republic
Views on mutation – Ambivalent

Mutants are considered citizens in NCR society but are subjected to discrimination and bigotry. Some places in California exclude Ghouls going into particular businesses or events. Ghouls and Super Mutants have a larger population than any other kind of Mutants. Many Ghouls and Super Mutants join the New California Armed Forces to gain respect by troops and some high-ranking officers. There are many mutant advocate groups and anti-mutant groups within the NCR.

Land occupied

All of California (Including the Baja Peninsula), almost half of Oregon, and extends to parts of Nevada’s borders.

Population

2.5 million

Signature Weapon

The NCR contains the viruses found in SAD though do not wish to use it due to moral and ethical reasons. The NCR have been looking to other alternatives for a signature weapon.

2. Free Economic Zone of New Vegas - (Lt. Andronicus)
Spoiler

Name: Free Economic Zone Of New Vegas (FEZNV)

Flag: http://imgur.com/1bLancr

History: Formed by the genius pre-war mind that is Robert Edwin House, the Free Economic Zone of New Vegas was officially established following the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. Its origins lay in the pre-war world however, when House first laid out his plans to preserve the spirit of Vegas and turn the city in the post-war world into a blast furnace, from which the foundation of a rebuilt future could be forged in the fires of industry and capitalistic venture.

House’s plans were interrupted by the failed delivery of the piece of advanced technology known as the “Platinum Chip” which forced him to operate off of buggy software and to adapt and change his plan and schedule. In order to survive the rolling blackouts to his power grid in the Lucky 38 Casino (caused by his successful attempts to shield Vegas from nuclear fire) Mr. House went into a deep coma, which lasted many years.

When he awoke, he found the city of Vegas to be relatively intact, but still nothing like the future he had originally planned for it. Due to continual issues with his software, he was not able to implement any sort of real rebuilding effort until many years later. In the meantime, he continued to hire various search parties to find the Platinum Chip in the ruins of its original printing location: Sunny Vale, California.

It was then in 2070s that Mr. House emerged from his seclusion within the Lucky 38 in order to begin his original plans. Using his vast accumulated capital he hired and civilized three tribal societies, who became the famed “Three Familes” of the New Vegas Strip. It was also in this time that the advance of the Legion and the NCR was detected, two massive states who had ambitions for the New Vegas area.

House immediately set to work, and drafted a treaty with the NCR using the leverage gained from his new manpower in the Three Familes as well as the force of Securitrons that he had at his disposal within the Lucky 38. It was a small force compared to the might of the NCR and Legion, but it was enough to bide Mr. House time.

While the NCR took control over the massive hydroelectric Hoover Dam, House was busy plotting to ensure that the Dam, and indeed the whole New Vegas area would not remain under the NCR’s influence for long. Through a serious of political machinations and the use and recovery of the Platinum Chip, House upgraded and unleashed his Mk II Securitron Army on the two combatants at the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. Using his new found military might, he forced the NCR to sign an order of withdraw treaty which created the Free Economic Zone of New Vegas and set terms for the arrangement of water and electric supplies from the Dam to the NCR, in exchange for a set fee. With no choice but to accept, NCR General Lee Oliver pulled his forces from the Dam and returned home. Both he and President Kimball bore the brunt of this move by House and the War Hawk agenda collapsed in the NCR.

Following the battle at the Dam, House set to work on his beloved Vegas. He continued expansion of the Strip, moved into Freeside and began improving conditions there, and ensured that the Casinos of the city had a steady supply of tourists and caps. All the while, House reaped in a flat (but still relatively low) tax on all Casino and vendor profits which proved to be quite substantial: notwithstanding his treaty with the NCR which began reaping in similar large amounts of money. All the while, the borders of the Free Economic Zone expanded, soon reaching the Big Mountain facility to the north. After taking control of Big Mountain and eliminating the more uncooperative members of the Think Tank, House began to consider ways in which he might use this advanced facility to his advantage. Research was soon sponsored at the facility, and House used his considerable development skill earned from his pre-war experience as the Robco-CEO to jumpstart technological innovation at the location.

New Vegas thus now represents a unique sort of gem in the Post-Apocalyptic world: relatively untouched by the Great War with its spirit intact. Citizens from around the NCR flock to the Strip in droves, fueling the engine of Mr. House’s economy. The advanced MKII Securitrons are now the army of Vegas: an army “worthy of protecting it” and House continues to lead the Economic zone with a firm autocratic hand.
Time will only tell if this venture was a success. As they say in Vegas however, the House always wins.

Government:

The New Vegas Economic Zone is a unique style of government, one which is perhaps best described as “Lassiez-Faire Autocracy.” Mr. House controls the New Vegas strip as its “sole CEO-and proprietor” and runs the Economic zone as a “firm autocrat and economic visionary.” Mr. House’s official title is “Chief Executive of the Free Economic Zone of New Vegas.”

While Mr. House is the leader of the Free Economic Zone, he has no interest in legislating the lives of individuals within it. Laws are thus quite lax, with only a few basic fundamental legislative codes in order to ensure a society that is not anarchistic or uncivilized, and that everyone knows House is in charge. Personal and social legislation however, is left largely up to the individual communities within the zone. Provided these towns do not draft legislation that will either grossly compete with House’s basic laws, or in his words, go against the “spirit of New Vegas” the towns are free to legislate and control themselves as they will. A flat tax is of course sent to Mr. House from each of the communities, and in return, House provides protection in the form of his Securitron Army and utilities such as power and water.

It is a system which has thus far succeeded. In some sense however, the Free Economic Zone is less of a structured government and more of a business model capitalistic venture, and that is just the way House wants it.

Economy:

The economy of Vegas is the Zone’s main draw. Vegas is business, and business is good. With Mr. House at the wheel, a CEO and elite executive from the pre-war world, industry and business flourish in New Vegas like it does almost nowhere else. One of the largest economic draws is of course New Vegas itself: the jewel of the Mojave wasteland and indeed possibly the world. Citizens from the NCR and even other surrounding regions flock to Vegas for fun, excitement, and gambling. While initially only three Casino’s dotted the strip, House has made sure that various others have now sprung up: and the strip has boomed with phenomenal growth.

House also controls various other industries within New Vegas, such as the advanced technological sector in the form of Big Mountain, industries such as the New Vegas steel plant and other retooled factories, and of course: Hoover Dam, whose electricity is being sent by treaty to both New Vegas and the NCR, as well as to surrounding locations and regions. House has been improving its output capacity as well: with his advanced knowledge of engineering.
As a designated “Free Economic Zone” New Vegas also is a haven for entrepreneurs, corporate entities, and other businesses. House keeps his taxes on such industries quite low in order to encourage the growth of these sorts of ventures in the Zone and thus he has sponsored a haven of capitalism and big-business: all the while he skims off the top of the large pool of profits in order to fund and fuel his own future ventures.

In all, the Free Economic Zone of New Vegas likely has one of the strongest and richest economies in the word, with a high standard of living to boot: and House means to keep it that way.

Culture: “Sin city is a hell of a town.”

The culture of Vegas is highly reminiscent of 1950s Vegas Americana. With everything that goes along with it. The slang, the attire and dress, the decorations, and the general feel. New Vegas is a display case of the pre-war world, with the spirit of the “entertainment capital of the world “ preserved by House. Gambling, drugs, six, and booze are all apart of the Vegas experience on both the Strip, and Freemont Street. Men and women dress in snazzy suits and pre-war dresses and everywhere the spirit of Vegas is fun and good times: just like it was in the old world. Don’t let that fool you however, as House runs the Strip and New Vegas like a well oiled machine. There is no laziness when it comes to keeping the city clean, running, and on time and on schedule. Even the New Vegas monorail to McCarren Airport runs its schedule with precise efficiency, down to the last second.

Outside of the strip, the outlying towns and villages are more traditional of typical settlements around post-apocalyptic America and the NCR. Some are doing better than others, and a few such as Primm even maintain their own “little Vegas” atmosphere. However in towns like Goodsprings and elsewhere: you’ll find a more laid-back attitude and more down-to-earth wasteland folk, some of whom have no interest in the lights and glamor of Vegas. Still, they appreciate the easiness of House’s rule and the efficiency with which he supplies them with water and electricity.

Military: “An army worthy of protecting it.”

The soldiers of Vegas stand alert, straight and at attention always, they never eat nor do they sleep, no do they suffer from morale loss or fatigue. They are excellent soldiers and accurate to a robotic precision. They are of course: the Securitrons. House’s large Securitron army is of course the primary fighting force of New Vegas and the Free Economic Zone as a whole. As Mr. House would say: they are always in fighting trim.

With the upgrades to the MKII software, the Securitrons are armed with an array of powerful weaponry: each one carrying embedded within its casing a Glasting House Inc. X-25 gatling laser for medium range engagements, a M-235 missile launcher system for ground and air targets, a 9mm submachine gun for close range suppression and crowd control, and a G-28 grenade launcher system for explosive supporting fire. Each Securitron also has a highly advanced on-board auto-repair system, which makes these robotic soldiers of Vegas ready for nearly any combat situation which arsis. All in all, as House estimates, the MK II upgrades confer a 235% upgrade in combat effectiveness per unit. For those wishing to exploit the robotic nature of the soldiers, they will find that this is not so easily done, as House’s research at Big Mountain has yielded technology which aids in shielding these robo-soldiers from EMP damage. Thus, one can not simply carpet bomb an advancing force with pulse grenades and expect a victory.

In all, the Securitrons of Vegas are its police force, its army, and the shield and sword of the Free Economic Zone. Most of the Securitrons are positioned in Vegas and the surrounding area (including Hoover Dam), however, several groups of the robots also patrol outlying regions, and some are positioned in smaller towns and villages in order to help with their security: complements of Mr. House.

However, each of the larger towns also maintains a police force/small militia of their own, which is almost entirely defensive in nature. House’s terms allow for such militias to form, provided they do not act without permission from House and do nothing to attempt to thwart House’s Zone. Should any town attempt such a thing, Securitrons would be swiftly detached to deal with them post-haste.

While these militia’s should be considered if any attack is to be made on New Vegas, their role is mostly untrained and ad-hoc. Some are more deadly than others and they are not officially counted amongst the “military” of New Vegas, the professional and standing army, is of course the Securitrons.
Approximate Securitron force: 20,000.

Militia forces: Adhoc as needbe. Scattered around various outlying towns. They are not part of the main standing army and are only temporary forces.

Technology: High Tech

Considering that Mr. House, the mind behind the pre-war technological marvel of a company that was Robco, is now at the helm of the Free Economic Zone of New Vegas, this nation should of course be considered high technology. Or at least the capability to become one. Big Mountain serves as the primary research facility, and various new technologies are been developed and experimented on from time to time.

War technology though, is not the main focus of the technology (aside from the securitrons) it is the innovation and technological progress for the sake of progress itself. Energy and power technology is a main source of research: how can the Dam and such things like Helios One be improved upon?
Research into robotics, medical technology, chemicals, and other such endeavors are of course done as well. And the Free Economic Zone encourages various types of scientific study and Mr. House himself funds such projects with his enormous wealth.

Religion:

The Free Economic Zone does not have a particular religion and there is certainly no official one stated. House himself is most likely atheist in temperament, but he does not regulate religious belief whatsoever (provided the beliefs do not clash with the ideas of the Free Economic Zone). As such, one will most likely find a variety of religions (and of course the lack thereof) in the New Vegas region. Both pre-war and post-apocalyptic in nature.

As in other places, it is more likely that you will find religious folk in more rural Mojave towns as opposed to the city of Vegas.

Views on mutation: Ambivalent.

House does not have a particular disdain for mutations and he sees no issue with them provided they do not disturb his goals for the Free Economic Zone. Thus, no official policy for mutations is set within the law codes. Various towns however, may differ.

Within New Vegas itself though, House does ‘discourage’ mutates from visiting, unless they are well laden with caps, as they tend to drive away customers and generally cause uproar. Ghouls are far less of a problem than super-mutants, who are effectively excluded from the New Vegas Strip and Freemont (although not explicitly stated to be). At most, non-feral ghouls are likely to simply experience prejudice and bigotry rather than outright exclusion, revulsion, or hatred. Experience varies however. Casinos will always welcome a ghoul with a fat wallet. As will most business, because in Vegas, money talks.

However, while House himself is ambivalent to the mutation question, and would likely not care either way, the people and towns within his Free Economic Zone hold a variety of different views. Some see mutations as disgusting abominations, while others are far more tolerant and accepting. A few towns even have complete bans on mutates from entering their city limits: which House does not stop from occurring.

The settlement of Jacobstown is the one place where super-mutants may find assured refuge. The cure for the Nightkin was discovered by Dr. Henry and as such the settlement survived deep and secluded within the ski lodge in the mountains. House knows of the settlement and permits its existence provided that the mutants can keep themselves out of trouble and stay away from roads, main towns, and villages. In return for this allowance, Jacobstown sends a much higher tax to Mr. House than other towns within the Free Economic Zone. For the super-mutants however, it is considered worth it. These mutants make their living by mining and cutting lumber in the mountains for the Free Economic Zone.

House has made it explicitly clear to Marcus that should problems arise from Jacobstown, hesitation will not be given in ‘dealing’ with the settlement.
Land occupied: New Vegas and the surrounding region, including the Hoover Dam, Big Mountain and various other locations (see map for outline of territory).
Population: According to Mr. House’s precise census: 1.25 million

However, this only includes citizens and permanent residents, this does not include the various tourists and travelers which often stay in Vegas for an extended period: either working (to pay off debts ) or simply enjoying themselves at the Strip.

Signature Weapon: The Helios One Solar Power plant transmits electricity to the overall region, and for most people this is all they know it as: a power plant. However, The Archimedes I weapon system is ready to be activated at a moments noticed should the need arise. While the deadly laser ray is not nearly as powerful a system as say, the Bradley Hercules, it could still wipe a small town or an entire company or two of soldiers out.

3. Brotherhood of Steel - (Padawan228)
Spoiler

Name: The Brotherhood of Steel

History: (Post Fallout: New Vegas)

The Brotherhood was breaking in the West Coast, even though they had bunkers littered all around the NCR, New Vegas, and other miscellaneous areas. After the battle for Hoover Dam, a bunker in Seattle sent out a distress beacon from Elder Cathal (The T is silent) Lockheart called for the return of all Brotherhood of Steel groups that received this message. The beacon had a wide range because Brotherhood members from areas like the Nuclear Winter Wonderland Canada and The Blistering Mojave Wastes came, as well as members from the area in between the two.

As the members began to regroup a mission began, that mission was to rebuild Seattle and set up other various cities, military bases, towns, and villages across the Washington Wasteland. More members arrived with more technology and people to help the restoration. The people needed a leader, and who better than the man of Irish Heritage who sent them all the beacon, that leader was Cathal Lockheart.

Lockheart proved to be a leader, he fought in battles to clear Raiders out of their home, he had an Armored Personnel Vehiclehttp://www.falloutwiki.com/Armored_Personnel_Carrier, and made his Home/Capitol Building in the Space Needle.

But power changes men, and Lockheart (as much as the people revered him) was still a man. Lockheart began to become paranoid people would try to take his power so he set up an Elite Guard Force, Chancellor Official Guards (COG). He has complete control over the military and the politics. He had the Codex rewritten to make it seem like his reign of power is normal among Elders and he was no different being the Chancellor.

(This paragraph of history will be placed in Views on Mutation)

Even though Lockheart is obsessed with keeping his power, he also tries to make sure the people like him so they won't revolt and take his power. Some reforms he made for the people were expanding from just military technology into medical and agricultural fields. Some medical reforms he made came solely by luck, he found a hospital that had Auto Doc MK II's inside. Scribes studied the Auto Docs and found a new technology that could be applied to Stimpaks, which basically healed all limbs when injected like a Doctor's Bag. They began expanding into agriculture when there was a need for food and their stockpiles wouldn't work. They began building Greenhouses around their populated areas.

The Brotherhood of Steel has bad blood between them and the NCR. Lockheart is quoted saying, "I do not believe they have the guts to attack us. I will sit back but I am not surrendering to them. If any illegal immigrants, spies, or soldiers sneak into our lands, it will be considered an act of war and they will have a war on their hands."

Government:

Monarchy

Chancellor:
The Chancellor leads the Brotherhood of Steel. After Lockheart took over he gave the Chancellor complete power over the nation. They are expected to make choices that will better the nation but cannot be removed because of their own personal issues.

Ambassador:
There are many Ambassadors who are loyal to the Chancellor. The Chancellor chooses who he or she wants to be an ambassador and they will stay true to the Chancellor. The Ultra Ambassador accompanies the Chancellor on foreign trips and has the power to make deals with foreigners.

COG (Political Part):
The Communicator COG also accompanies the Chancellor on any foreign affairs. The Communicator has the power to make deals with foreigners.

Economy:

The Brotherhood of Steel is a secluded nation that doesn't usually deal with exports. Their economy only comes from what supplies that they have. The people mainly rely on bartering since no set currency is in Brotherhood lands.

Culture:

The people are brainwashed that their Chancellor is a God-Like leader. They look past his flaws and only see the good that he has done. The people have a strong bond since many of them lived together in bunkers. The way they dress is a little cyber punkish but not too over the top.

Military:

Soldiers:

The Chancellor:
The Chancellor gives commands to Lord Paladins and occasionally makes their own way into battle.

Lord Paladin:
The Lord Paladins are basically the Commanders of the Battlefield, their orders come directly from the Chancellor. They use a Guass Rifle and Gauss Pistol. They wear T-51 B Winterized Power Armor.

Paladin:
Paladins are basically the Officers on the battlefield, they are respected and feared on the battlefield. They use a Plasma Rifle and Plasma Pistol. They wear regular T-51 B Power Armor.

Knights:
Knights are looked at like Sergeants on the Battlefield, They train Initiates or fight in the battles. They use a Laser Rifle and Laser Pistol. They also wear T-45 D Power Armor.

Initiates:
Initiates are basically Privates and Corporals on the Battlefield, they follow any orders given to them and go through harsh training even to be this low of a rank. They use a Laser Pistol and Plasma Pistol. They also wear Recon Armor.

Other Units:

Stealth Troops:
The Stealth Troops rely on sneaking past enemy lines. They are basically Scouts, Snipers, Spec Ops Troops. They wear Chinese Stealth Suits and use Stealth-Boys if their Stealth Field is destroyed. Their weapons include Breaching Explosives (Like C4), Binoculars, and Silenced Scoped Hunting Rifles.

Ordinance Troops:
The Ordinance Troops rely on Heavy Weaponry and they strike hard where they hit. They use Missile Launchers, Fat Mans, Plasma Grenades, Frag Grenades, Miniguns, Gatling Lasers, and Plasma Casters. They wear T-51 B Power Armor.

Chancellor Official Guards (COG):
The COG guard the Capital of Seattle and the Palace of The Space Needle. The select few guard the Chancellor and are like Royal Guards. They use something similar to Proton Axes and Gauss Pistols. They wear a model of T-51 B Power Armor that looks like a medieval knight.

The Juggernauts:
The Juggernauts are Super Mutant soldiers who use any weapon available to them. They scavenge scraps of Power Armor off dead allies and wear them. They are a fear factor as well as effective in battle.

Vehicles:

Personnel Armored Vehicle

WWII Destroyer Vessels

WWI Submarines

Technology:

Weapons:

Gauss Pistol

Agriculture:

Green Houses

Medicine:

Auto Doc MK II

Doctor Bag Stimpak

Religion:

The Chancellor is viewed like a god to the people. If they don't worship, the Chancellor doesn't care and is actually pretty lenient on religion. However over 75% of the people worship the Chancellor. The other 25% is Christians, Catholics, Jews, Agnostics, Muslims (Though frowned upon because it originated near Asia), and Atheists.

Views on mutation:

Lockheart had battled with mutants before he was leader. They were formidable enemies and that changed Lockheart's opinion on them forever. When he took over as leader, he gave mutants the option to live and join the army or work force. Those who refused were sent into the unmanned lands by force, though many enjoyed the chance of life.

Land occupied:

Most of Pre War Washington

Population:

Around 210,000 men, women, and children live in the current Brotherhood of Steel Territory.

4. Republic of the Sierra Madre - (Vault Ninja)

5. The Legion - (YesManFTW)

6. Vancouver - (MouseKing)

7. Republic of Alaska - (Crimson Paladin)
Spoiler

Name: Republic of Alaska

History:

The Republic Alaska started out as an alliance of survivors, mostly descendants of the US Army taking shelter in surviving military installations, in the aftermath of the Great Winter of 2130. Over time, thanks to the group's access to pre-war military tech and the prospect of increased trade and security, more and more survivors joined up with them, such as hunters, tribals, native and otherwise, and even the descendants of Chinese invaders. As it grew, those in charge decided to form a government, based on the old Federal and State Governments that once ruled Alaska. Thus the Republic of Alaska was born.

Over the years, the nation grew further. The people developed a manifest destiny for the Republic to claim all of Alaska. Threats, such as raiders and feral ghouls were hunted down and wiped out, beasts were pushed back into the wilderness, cities were reclaimed, and technologies were salvaged. Eventually, thanks to the hard work of its citizens, and the courage of its explorers, it came to encompass all of Alaska. ow the Republic of Alaska has become into a large nation, sparsely populated for its size but determined to maintain its independence. Boats head into the frigid waters to catch fish and mutated crabs, hunter-gatherers and their dogs roam the land, and cities slowly grow within the ruins of their predecessors.

Government:

The Republic of Alaska is a Presidental Constitutional Republic, inspired by both the pre-war United States Federal Government and Alaska's pre-war state government. There are three branches, an Executive Branch, a Legislative Branch encompassing a Senate and House of Representatives, and a Judicial Branch. The flag is the old Alaska State flag, only with the stars recolored white, inspired by the United States' flag. There has been a movement to alter the flag, to change the North Star to red, to represent the union of the American and Chinese descendants, and slowly has been gaining ground over the years.

Economy:

Alaska's main economy is in the natural resources that survived the war. Fishing, for one, is a major industry. Most boats are either recently constructed wooden trawlers or repaired pre-war ships, such as re-purposed Chinese corvettes that survived intact enough to be made seaworthy again. Hunting is another major portion of the economy, centered around the dangerous, mutated beasts that roam the wilderness and coastline. Logging also exists, as Alaska's enormous size, sparse population, and abundance of trees enabled much of its vegetation to survive the Great War, albeit mutated to some degree. Brahmin ranching has been growing in recent years as well, fueled by increasing need for leather, meat, milk, and beasts of burden. Gold mining also continues, enabled by pre-war mining rigs, and enabling the government to back the Alaskan Dollar. Finally, a few have begun scrapping operations to reclaim metal from wrecked warships, but so far it is only a small part of the economy. Most trading is done within Alaska: its remote location, abundance of natural resources, and self-reliance has resulted in very little trade with other powers. The Government wishes to change this, hoping to acquire more medical chems and other resources not found naturally in Alaska.

Culture:

Alaska is home to a number of different cultures. Many base their culture off of the pre-war United States (of various eras, from the 2070's to the 1800's), seeking to recapture its spirit without the flaws that led to the Great War. Others, especially Chinese descendants, favor collectivism. In addition, native and non-native tribes live in various regions, bringing with them their unique cultures. Many have elected to ignore the Republic's sovereignty, and in turn, the Republic ignores them, so long as there is no reason for conflict. Most sides agree, however, that both the United States and China were responsible for the Great War, and that the survivors of both sides must work together to survive, to make a society without the flaws of its predecessors. How this is to be done, however, is a major point of debate in the Republic's political scene.

Military:

Because of its light population, and because of the fear that other powers may covet its natural resources, the Republic of Alaska enforces a mandatory military service to keep its armed forces at sufficient strength. At the same time, however, the lack of immediate threats, most of its members are reservists, living their own lives, whatever that may entail, until called into action. Whatever the case, its military remains relatively small in number. However, because conflict fought in Alaska prior to the Great War, the Republic of Alaska possesses a plethora of pre-war military technology from both sides of the conflict. As a result, the Republic's military is both well-supplied and technologically advanced, although not to the degree of the Enclave or Midwest.

Army:

Life in post-apocalyptic Alaska is not easy, especially not when the only sources of food were already dangerous before being mutated by radiation. As a result, those coming into the Alaskan Army are often experienced survivalists and veteran marksmen. Typically they are equipped in pre-war winterized combat armor, armed with both American and Chinese firearms.

The Republic of Alaska also maintains Power Armor Units, thanks to the number of T-45's and T-51's from the war. They maintain two T-45 Armored Batallions and one T-51 Armored Batallion, armed typically with heavy weapons, such as miniguns, flamers, and even a few Fat Men and Gauss Rifles.

In addition, the Republic Army also possesses a Special Operations force. Known as the Polar Night, these men and women are equipped with some of the rarest tech in the military. Garbed in Chinese Stealth Armor and given full access to the Republic's arsenal, they perform the tasks that no one else can.

Air Force:

The Alaskan Air Force is made up mostly of American and Chinese military aircraft, although it also incorporates a number of surviving civilian airplanes as well. While maintaining the security of the Republic is an important duty of the Republic Air Force, they often find themselves aiding in civilian affairs. Search-and-rescue, transportation of cargo, and occasionally air travel have all been carried out the Air Force. At the same time, however, the nation's lack of manufacturing capabilities and scarcity of oil means that for the most part, their air fleet only takes flight when it is important. A combination of pre-war flight training software and knowledge passed down from a ghoulified former bomber pilot have ensured that the rare art of piloting aircraft is preserved.

Army: 25,000 (9,000 active duty, 16,000 reservists)
Air Force: 3,000 (1,500 active duty, 1,500 reservists)

Technology:

Outside of the military, much of the Republic of Alaska is primitive and low-tech, relying largely on timber, dogs, and Brahmin to get by in day-to-day life. What little oil remains is tightly controlled by the government. The land retains natural gas reserves, some of which have been put to use for heating purposes in the cities, but remains largely overshadowed by wood-burning. Firearms of all types are commonplace, both for civilians and military, but energy weapons are much rarer. Electricity is restricted to the cities, as is running water.

While a few functional mining rigs and snowmobiles exist, typically travel is done by sleds or wagons pulled by Brahmin or dogs. The Republic has also resurrected the Alaskan rail line, but with only a few functioning engines, it is currently used only for moving large quantities of cargo between cities.

Boats and ships are not an uncommon sight in the coastal settlements, but most are wooden, sail-powered vessels. A few pre-war ships are used, but for the most part it's easier to simply build a new ship out of wood. However, thanks to intrepid entrepreneurs, two formely beached Chinese corvettes have been gutted and repurposed as fishing vessels, which have become one of the Republic's most iconic sights, despite not actually being associated with the government.

Religion:

While the Republic of Alaska has no state religion, there are several belief systems in Alaska. Variants of Christianity are fairly common, as is Atheism and Agnosticism. In addition, the belief systems of the native Alaskan tribes survive in many places, owed to the natives' ability to adapt to the changing land.

Views on mutation:

Ghouls are often viewed with fear and disdain by many, owed to their zombie-like appearance and their feral cousins. Many, however, view the Ghouls, their ability to survive in extreme conditions (ghouls have no body heat), and the experience that comes with sometimes centuries of living, as an indispensable asset. Indeed, some credit much of the Republic's knowledge of its pre-war technology to a small number of pre-war ghouls.

Super Mutants are another story. Owed to the vast distance from any locations of FEV experimentation, Super Mutants are rarely seen, but are usually distrusted and turned away, owed more to unfamiliarity with the mutants than anything else.

Land occupied:

All of the former state of Alaska

Population:

270,000

8. Northern Canadian Union - (Open)

9. Khan Empire - (Tiber Septem)
Spoiler

Name: The Khan Empire also known as the Great Khans or the Khans.

Capitol: Devils Tower

Government: Khanate

There is only one person with absolute power within the Khans, and he is called the Khan. The Khan has advisers but he does not need to listen to him. As long as people do not cross the Khan, they will live a safe and possibly happy life. If you cross the Khan you will not live at all. The current Khan is Oscar Maxwell, otherwise known as Little Khan, because of his short stature. Despite this the very mention of his name can make the most hardened of Khans tremble.

Despite this the Khan allows many towns within his territory to govern themselves, as long as they don't go against him or his soldiers.

Economy: The Khans have a strong economy due to the distribution of chems, and by raiding unruly communities and enemies. The Khans tax many communities they protect by making them give them there strongest children. The children are allowed to see their families after they are raised in the Khans. The Khans will also accept volunteers instead of children.

Currency: Caps,gold coins.

Culture: There is no one culture that dominates the Khan's empire. The Khans themselves are very warlike.

Military: 54,967 Humans 43 Super Mutants

The Cavalry: 15,967 Motorcycle riders, 40 trucks, one driver and a Super Mutant gunner per truck.

The Calvary was founded when Papa Khan found a stockpile of 100 working motorcycles. Due to their fast speed and maneuverability Papa said that in the future all Khans should ride these. The cavalry soon became the most prestigious rank within the Khan military. The Khans build new motorcycles using the remains of many pre-war ones. The Khans have only started to recently build their own motorcycles. The cavalry is very mobile and can move faster than any other modern army. Most soldiers within the cavalry are equipped with small weapons such as SMGs and pistols. Recently Super Mutants have joined the Cavalry. Since they could not fit on motorcycles they have taken on the role of gunners on the back of trucks. They use heavy weapons such as mini-guns and missile launches.

The Khan's Guard: 3 Super Mutants, 1,000 humans

Their Goal is to protect the leader of the Khan Empire. They are the toughest fighters within the entire empire. All of them are officers and their commander is Jacob Death-Hand, a Super Mutant who's brutality and power is only under that of the Khan himself. They wear heavy suits of combat armor reinforced with steel. Most of them carry heavy weapons. They also act as the police force of Devils Tower.

Great Khans: 30,000 humans

The main fighting force of the Khans. They wear little to no armor and equipped mainly with rifles, shotguns, and SMGs. They are still very tough and can hold their own against many other military fighting forces within the wastelands. There have twelve Howitzers that they use mostly as a defense against their foes. Most of them protect towns within the Khan Empire, or they protect drug caravans.

The Flying Calvary: 1,000 humans

The newest addition to the Khan military is it's air force. Their aren't many planes within the Khan Air Force but there are many guards. It is composed of one B-29, two cargo planes, and one Vertibird taken from a very wealthy NCR Brahmin Baron. The Baron was killed, the attack was covered up as an attack from a group of unknown raiders.

The Khan's eyes: 7,000 humans

The eyes and ears of the Khan Empires military. They scout enemy positions and even assassinate enemy leaders. They wear light armor and carry around long ranged weapons. They always are in front of the Khan army but they never participate in any battle. Many of them also spy on the towns folk that live within Khan territory.

Population: 55,000 Khans, 421,000 citizens

The Khans have quickly grown from a small gang of raiders to an empire based in Wyoming. Many citizens were willing to undergo harsh training to become a Khan. Others were satisfied with their lives and did not bother the Khans.

Technology: Low to mid level

The Khan Empire maintains a large number of motorcycles for their soldiers, and a small number of trucks for The Khan and Super Mutant soldiers. A large number of chems are also produced. Non-addictive chems have also been created for the use of the Khan and his soldiers. Everybody else is given addictive chems. A them of chemists are always looking to make new chems, for recreational use and military uses.

Religion: There is no state religion.

The Khans and people within Khan territory are allowed to follow any religion they want. Most citizens claim to be Mormon, due to the large number of Mormon missionaries that came to Wyoming to escape the Legion and the 80s. Others follow local tribal religions or follow no religion. Most Khans are not religious but still believe in some tribal legends. One of these legends was brought to the Khans by the Mormons. It is about a man called the Burned One.

Views on Mutation: Ambivalent, some super mutants serve the Khans. One is even the head bodyguard of the Khan. Many ghouls brew chems for the Khans, but none of them serve in the military. However many human communities within Khan territory do not accept mutants or ghouls. Most however live side by side with mutants and ghouls.

Land Occupied: Wyoming, Eastern Idaho, Southern Montana.

History: If you want the early history of the Khans go to the Fallout Wiki. I will start off with there journey to Wyoming.

Learning from the Courier that the Legion would enslave the Khans, Papa Khan decided to evacuate his people from the Mojave during the Battle of Hoover Dam. After leaving the Mojave the Khans came across a town called Tumbleweed. The Khans raided tumbleweed, and took the survivors as slaves and the children were recruited into the Khans. The Khans did this for three years until they reached Wyoming. Papa believed that this was the Perfect place to start his empire. The Khans came across the town of Bridger. Instead of razing they stayed here and recruited the locals. The Khans said that they would protect the town from raiders and other malcontents as long as the town served the Khans. The town agreed to serve them and the Khans set up a large drug lab close to the town, so the Khans could support their growing population with chems. The locals told them about the local raider groups such as the Razors, the Claws, El Locos, The Walking Cloud, and the worst of them all The Electrics. Each of the Raider tribes had a signature weapons.

The Razors' signature weapon was Razor sharp blades.

The Claws' signature weapon was the claws of dead deathclaws.
El Locos' signature weapon was the shishkebab.

The Walking Cloud's signature weapon was the tomahawk.

The locals said that the Electrics used weapons that shot beams of light, that vaporized their enemies. The only tribe Papa believed the Khans would have trouble with was the Electrics. The Khan's would need to build themselves into a proper military before they could fight the Electrics. Papa decided to battle the Walking Cloud raider to the North. To gain more land and to give experience to his army. The Khans fought the Walking Cloud, many of the Walking Cloud were slaughtered the others regrouped at a place called Nezperce. While the Khans regrouped in Jackson, they found one hundred working motorcycles. They took a liking to these vehicles and started to ride them. Putting the new Cavalry under the control of Oscar Papa headed south to conquer more land. The Walking Clouds were annihilated in three days and North Western Wyoming was under Khan control. Papa and Oscar regrouped, Oscar had repaired many motorcycles within Khan territory and had recruited many more soldiers, from the towns, in Wyoming, and raiders who wanted to become a Khan. Papa had recruited a large number of Mutants. The Khans set up many chem factories inside Wyoming, and they had plenty of resources to make them. Soon the combined forces of Papa and Oscar headed east. The Khans soon controlled all of western Wyoming. Some local towns greeted the Khans as saviors and told them of an alliance of all the major raider groups in Wyoming. The raiders feared that the army of demons would destroy them unless they served the Great Spark. The Group that controlled the alliance was the Electrics. The Razors, The Claws, and El Locos were meeting with a group of the Electrics known as Megabyte and Megawatt in the town of Cheyenne. Papa told Oscar to take his best soldiers and recon the Electrics base, he would take 2,000 soldiers and invade Cheyenne.

Oscar lead 40 Khans to the Devils Tower. When they stopped at the town of Big Horn they were ambushed 50 electrics under the command of Kilowatt and Kilobyte. The Khans were losing the battle until Oscar charged Kilobyte and beat him to deat in the middle of the battle with a mace. Demoralized by the death of one of their leaders the Electrics retreated. Oscars forces chased them down and killed every last one of them. Kilowatt’s head was sent to Devils tower. Oscar completed his mission but learned horrible news of what happened in Cheyenne.

Papa had fought a bloody battle and defeated the three other raider groups. But, Megabyte and Megawatt ambushed the Khans and killed Papa and many of his soldiers. All that returned were some Super Mutants. Megabyte died in the battle and Megawatt

Was licking his wounds at Laramie. Oscar was the new Khan and was given the name Little Khan. Little Khan, told his forces to surround Devils tower. He and the forces that served Papa would avenge Papa's death. Little Khan arrived at Laramie and ambushed Megawatt. Megawatt and his forces surrendered but little Khan beat megawatt to death, then ordered the rest of his forces to be beaten too. Once they were down with the Electrics forces they found 12 howitzers were ready to be transported somewhere. Little took them to Devils Tower. Once they arrived there they found that the Khans had held of three attack from the electrics, but were demoralized. The howitzers were quickly set up and fired upon devils tower. Most of the Electrics forces were killed in the barrage but some had taken refuge inside the caves built inside Devils Tower. A small group of Khan Veterans under the command of Little Khan and his second in command Jacob Death-Hand attacked Devils Tower. Most of the electrics were killed when the Khans fired their flamers into their caves. The rest were with their leader Gigawatt and his second in command Gigabyte inside a palace at the top of the tower. Little and his forces entered the palace and noticed many brotherhood symbols. Gigabyte ambushed the Khans and killed many of them. Little and Jacob were attacked by the remaining electrics who were quickly killed. Jacob distracted Gigabyte while little searched for Gigawatt. Little entered another room, where Gigawatt armed with a Tesla gun shot at Little but missed. Little quickly fired on him and killed him. Little picked up the Tesla gun and shot Gigabyte killing him.

The Khans finally ruled Wyoming and forged an armor out of a suit of T51b power armor for Little Khan. Many refugees and raider came from all over North America to become a Khan. In five years the Khans became one of the dominant powers in the West. The Khan Empire's lands are starting to become overpopulated and they want to expand. So Little Khan has headed south and is currently at war with the 80s. The Khans are also preparing to head north into Montana.

10. Midwestern Order - (TheLoneRanger)
Spoiler

Name: The Midwestern Order ( Midwestern Broterhood of Steel )

History: Many years past, an expedition exiled by men they once called brother experienced a great tragedy. Their aircraft was torn asunder by a rampant storm and they were cast to the ground. A valued soldier, commander was lost during the commotion as well as many of the ships used to carry these mavericks. Once the smoke had cleared, the survivors of this great mishap rose from the rubble and looked around to view the land they had been placed in. It was once the heart of a great nation from centuries ago, it fed entire cities of people, now it was but a barren wasteland held in the merciless grip of petty tyrants. These outcasts gathered themselves, saluaging the technology they'd taken in their aircraft and whatever else they could manage and journeyed to the outskirts of an old-world metropolis. On ancient signs they read the name of Chicago, this was the giant ruin they were now situated in. It seemed they were destined to make the best of what they were given.

These men were Brotherhood of Steel, a technologically-fanatic faction descended from rogue U.S. military personnel. In the west, where civilization had begun its meager crawl from the brink of extinction, they were a veritable superpower. They were supreme in the field of advanced technology, wielding impervious armor and magnificent weapons. As they grew, so did the outside world. Less-advanced, less-civilized peoples gained strength by simply having more men to absorb bullets and energy blasts. In an attempt to prevent their brotherhood from becoming stagnant, a brave group proposed recruiting outsiders to serve. After lengthy discussions which become quite heated, the Elders disagreed and due to the minority's persistence, sent them away on a fanciful ghost-chase.

So this was where the Brotherhood men found themselves, abandoned in a hostile region with no contact with their former-comrades. Trying to survive and fight against the raiders that controlled the area, the Knights, Paladins, and Scribes laid claim to derelict military bunkers and brought them back to life. Once they had a serviceable command-center, these survivors stored away their supplies and began a campaign to free the region from the grip of destitution and fear. This goal was not altruistic however, as once the far more disciplined and well-armed Brotherhood soldiers liberated the small settlements they established a harsh control over them. In return for protection, the towns were bled dry of able men and women, even supplies, all to fuel the new power's strength. These actions signified the transformation of the Brotherhood group into something else, something different, something much more powerful and efficient. They dubbed themselves the Midwestern Order, though those not among them knew them as the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel, still using their former allegiance, in name. This new organization differed greatly from the weak Elders, this new order was not above making needed changes.

Tribals were recruited and welcomed into the order. Men like General Simon Barnaky didn't treat them well but didn't turn them away, only regarded them with disdain. These men trained alongside the more civilized and experienced Brotherhood soldiers, being molded into masterful combatants. At the same time, they were educated in history and science, a heavy importance was placed on learning to maintain equipment as well. Exceptionally bright, or intuitive townsfolk were brought into the fold as Scribes. Though uneducated for the most part, some had the perfect traits for the life of the brilliant science-smiths of the order. Most fared quite well and were very worthy additions to this growing organization. The ranks of the Midwestern Order were swelling, the raiders had reason to fear them for certain. An offensive, dedicated to to rid the region of scum warlords, was started in earnest by Barnaky and the Elders.

Soldiers, clad in their impressive Midwestern Power Armor marched along to the town of Brahmin Wood and exterminated the raider presence there as if the thugs were nothing but ants. Which they were, to the well-trained and well-armed Knights and Paladins. After the small settlement was taken, the people paid tribute and freely gave their strongest to repay their debt. The Order essentially absorbed the town and others like it, taking supplies and men in exchange for keeping the people safe. It was a winning formula for the group and their power grew. More soldiers joined the ranks as well as potential Scribes and soon, the Brotherhood was a large enough force to challenge raider control all across Chicago's outermost regions. With an excellently-planned, vicious and overwhelming assault, the outlaw armies were wiped out completely. The area was now the Brotherhood's to control, which they did, with an iron fist of authority. They were not cruel, but extremely firm and strict.

From Chicago's outlying regions, the Order expanded its reach. Their intent was the fabled Vault Zero, to attain its magnificent technologies and extract its secrets for the good of their brotherhood. This goal was hampered by the appearance of a new threat, mutated tribals that were able to bend animals to their sick wills. The Order organized its new might, among it the masses of new blood, and clashed with the trash. Battling with dogged tenacity and merciless brutality, the Brotherhood once more annihilated the enemy they sought. With this victory came an unexpected boon. Thanks to a valorous and brave soldier saving their Matriarch, the Deathclaws approached the Order after a skirmish in the town of Mardin, in Missouri. These mutants came bearing an olive branch, offering some of their greatest warriors as a reward. Barnaky and the Elders accepted and commissioned the surprisingly intelligent lizard-beasts as soldiers in the Brotherhood's army. Now even more mighty, the Order advanced through the lands, further into Missouri.

Finally, they came to a halt at St. Louis. A new war, an actual war, emerged between the bolstered Brotherhood and the amazingly numerous remains of an old enemy, the Master's mutant army. Led by a new figurehead, the Super Mutants engagef Order forces and beat them back due to sheer numbers. Though more advanced certainly, there weren't enough men with the training ( or experience ) to battle the hulking monstrosities. The first number of clashes took a toll on the growing power, in St. Louis itself massive losses occurred Men died and by a cruel twist of fate, Simon Barnaky, the General and leader of the Order was taken captive by the mutant army. Soldiers and Scribes alike were saddened and enraged by this loss but retreated, suffering more attacks. A patrol by a small squad revealed a laboratory that is claimed in order to gain leverage against the hostile Super Mutants. Just a short while after, an intact nuclear bomb was recovered. It became an ace in the sleeve of the Midwestern Brotherhood.

Near the ruins of one of their aircraft, in a small town a team found the mutant who had Barnaky taken. Under extreme torture the mutant revealed the General was taken, by force, from the Mutant Army, by an unprecedented threat from the west, in the direction of the mythic Vault 0. This new menace was confronted in Kansas not long after. A cult, much like the Brotherhood in theory, tried to attack both powers at the same time but was torn down by the Order with little effort. The cult called the Reavers was technologically-obsessed, forming an entire religion around it. They provided a prototype pulse rifle to the Brotherhood, who took this weapon and studied it meticulously. Eventually, the technology was replicated and a squad's worth of them are constructed. This squad was sent along, clearing the way with the full might of the even more formidable Order behind them. Among them, Super Mutants and former Reavers accepted into the ranks as tribute, with their armies bolstered thanks to these new acquisitions, a push is made toward the robot-horde's origin. It is discovered that leading these relentless monsters, was a supercomputer holed-up in Vault 0. With saving their leader in their mind and the prospect of gaining the innumerable riches of the technological treasure-trove, the Brotherhood pressed on.

Along the way, they recovered the lobotomized body of Barnaky, this sight drove them even like nothing else had. Finally, using the warhead discovered a time ago, the Order tore a hole in the entrance to the Vault. A few squads stormed into the complex to save their lost leader and put an end to the ringleader of the robotic hordes. Inside the command center, they found a cyborg version of their beloved General leading the armies. One man steppped forward with a heartfelt speech to the conflicted Barnaky, at the end, the man's words sent the General into a chamber to merge with the Calculator, the master-computer of the robotic armies. A sudden change blasted through the battlefields around Cheyenne Mountain. All of the robotics fell under the control of the Order due to Barnaky wrestling control of them away from the nagging of the Caluclator's mind. The robots that had once fought them joined the Brotherhood's army and made them a bonafide superpower.

After this grand victory, the Order made the Cheyenne Mountain complex their base of operations. Sifting through the mountains of highly-advanced technology, the Brotherhood came across extremely powerful weapons and armors, pre-war designs, and a menagerie of other things. Thanks to the war's end, time was taken to scour the lands acquired during the march. In Buena Vista an aircraft was found and stored further inside Cheyenne Mountain, an entire force of craft was discovered. Designated " Hellions " in the Calculator's files, they were brilliant weapons, to form the basis of the entire Midwestern Order's airforce. In other military installations, long-forgotten aircraft such as old helicopters and the like, were uncovered. Many arms depots in old bases were searched for their plethora of weaponry, such as World War 2 era guns and in some cases, all manner of energy weapons. Stores of Power Armor are found among these caches under heavy guard by automated defenses.

It was shortly after Barnaky unified with the Calculator that the Midwestern Brotherhood officially became a nation. A council of sorts convened in Cheyenne Mountain. Composed of the most illustrious Paladins and the intensely brilliant Scribes, these individuals came together to form a Constitution of sorts, an outline for the government of the fledgling nation. With Barnaky at the helm, the Paladins and Scribes agreed that someone should be both Paladin and Scribe, Sword and Quill, to view each situation from both sides for the best decision to be made. This man would lead the nation under Barnaky's counsel, when the General would speak, the man would listen. This meeting of minds also concluded that currency and other such national issues would need to be made up as well as forming a full army. As this group adjourned their deliberation, a man was selected to leader, his name; Richard Clarke. Clarke, it was decided, would be taught the ways of the Scribe, as he was already the most decorated Paladin-Lord in Order had to offer. He made a pilgrimage of sorts to the area near Chicago, where the Scribes had taken to setting up shop.

The Vault was massively fortified as more scientists were sent along to study and document all the marvelous technology. Across the lands of the Midwest, robotic forces such as the humanoid bots were sent to police and protect the populace. More cities came under the rule of the Order and a tax was imposed on each one, drawing more boys and young men to be trained to become soldiers as well as smart ones to be made thinkers, as well as useful supplies. Remnants of the various enemies the former-Brotherhood crushed are driven back even further. After focused attacks, each are wiped out, only constituting small, scattered bands. Water was brought to the famished, desolate fields of the Midwest for the first time in countless years by irrigation systems designed in Cheyenne, an easy task for the Scribes and the processing power of the Calculator. Thanks to their ingenuity and production-ability, the Order's forces were upgraded, more men found more advanced technology at their disposal.

Chicago was to be the capital of the nation, a gargantuan force of builders, planners, and workers were ordered to the ruins of the once-great metropolis. All were garbed in radiation suits taken from various sources across the impressive expanse of land that the Order controls. Along with them were Super Mutants, absorbed as soldiers and laborers, these brutes were sent to aid in the reconstruction. With such a large mass of people and mutants working together, the more architecturally-gifted Scribes overseeing the building and such, the process was sped up considerably.

While a proper capital is being established by restoration, Cheyenne Mountain was a sort of temporary-command-center. Clarke continued his " grooming " for taking the mantle of Midwestern leader as well. Pulse weapons at the time were in full-production. The Order's armies grew thanks to tribute by the lands they ruled. Agriculture began wholeheartedly as citizens, safe from raiders and marauders, started to establish farms that actually produced safe foods. Trade networks from town to town were formed and heavily guarded by robots and soldier, Midwestern Knights and Paladins, still new to these machines, realized that the inhuman metal-contraptions were amazingly attuned to their habits and tactics. The two, despite one being alive and the other being lifeless, worked in complete harmony, another benefit of the supreme military leader of the Order having gained control of the Calculator. The people of the Midwest were also being educated once more, to maintain an intelligent populace, for the nation aimed to be one of the most advanced and be mentally superior to others that may appear. Laws were strictly enforced and unify the lands under one flag.

Mutants weren't treated as well as humans, rather they were used as fighters in service of the Order's armies. Just as well, they were used as workers in projects such as the renovation of the future-capital of Chicago. They did not enjoy their situation at all, although they did consider action, the mutants were painfully aware that the soldiers of the nation they'd been taken into would crush them. Wisely, they decided to approach Midwestern leaders to bargain for better treatment, knowing the Elders counted on their strength in construction efforts occurring around the nation. The Elders decreed that the Super Mutants and ghouls were to be regarded with more pleasantness, at the same time reminding the mutates that they'd been walking a thin line. The mutants were sill considered lesser but in the open, to their grisly faces, they were treated more kindly than before the dealing.

Chicago progressed nicely and years after the group of elites met in Cheyenne Mountain, Richard Clarke returned from his long period of study, to the seat of Barnaky. The others who attended that original summoning, were beckoned back to Vault 0. Before them, a new man stood. Clarke was exactly as they had wished, Barnaky among them, he was indeed both might and intellect, brawn and brain, soldier and scholar. The Paladin Lord, as his title remained, possessed the skills of both castes for his use, he'd mastered each and was fully-capable of bending them to his will. Seeing this, Barnaky deigned him the first Elder-Lord of the Midwestern Order. Clarke became the voice of the former-General, he was the sovereign of the nation and whatever he may have said, was law under, under penalty of Barnaky's wrath. The armies marched to his command, Scribes designed wonders at his mere mention, Inquisitors ripped the deepest, darkest secrets from the farthest fathoms of the human mind should he have even entertained the idea. Everyone had to obey, the Elder-Lord wielded all the power in the nation, perhaps even the world.

The group who chose Clarke was declared the Primor Conclave and given a degree of power in itself, under the whomever holds the title of Elder-Lord. Their purpose is a grand legislative body, to oversee laws and such. Though whomever rules can override them, they are a safeguard and from their formation, a honored and respected power.

Inquisitors, a class entirely unique to the Order, was reformed. They were taken, by order of the Elder-Lord, for new training. Instructed by Clarke himself, they were told to separate their former jobs and duties, there was a new task ahead of them. Now, they were made to be the " secret police ", destined to root out and eliminate any and all inside-threats such as seditious citizens. Just as before, they are still among the elite, they were still sadistic, calculating masters of the mind, the supreme authority on state and military intelligence. In wartime, they were still expected to weaken, extract from, then crush the minds of the enemy. When they returned from this new schooling, a more fierce caste was born, with less morality constricting them, even more terrifying and powerful than when they'd entered.

More time passed, settlement after settlement fell under the grip of the Order. Armies grew, technologies advanced, trade among the Midwest opened more and more as full, healthy farms had been constructed and opened. Radiation continued to dissipate, lands were cleansed and cities were rebuilt all across the country. The still-young nation's economy was a strong one, thanks to refurbished mills and factories and the stretches of land being cleaned for agricultural use. Building up from the ashes, after waging a costly yet beneficial war, the Midwestern Order could very safely be called its own nation, finally something fitting the title. Around that time, after many years of hard-labor, funneling resources, and planning, Chicago was declared rebuilt, restored from the ravages of the apocalypse. Finally, after years without a proper throne, a truly wonderful gem of the nation, the Elder-Lord took his seat of power in the newly-revived city. Troops flooded the streets, as well as citizens and even some mutants to celebrate the completion of their grand work. An entire day was spent reveling in their joy, praising Barnaky for his guidance and aid. After the celebrations subsided, people of the Order settled into the city, setting up shops and the like, purchasing land. The former-General looked on, pleased, through the eyes of a humanoid bot as his people made an old-world hub of intrigue and prosperity their own. A goal of his, one he had in mind when he joined with the Calculator, was finally achieved, he'd brought his kind from the edge of destruction a more resilient and powerful society.

Time passed, the Order grew in land, population, and military size and might. Economic booms came and went, agriculture and industry both grew as land was cleaned of radiation and old factories were brought back into working order. Mutants grew to be liked a slight bit more, yet retained their mark, to the human populace, as undesirable. Elder-Lords came and went, each were chosen by Barnaky himself and each had to go through the same trials as Richard Clarke, each had to become both, a perfect balance between Paladin and Scribe. Barnaky grew to a level of reverence equal to that of a deity, citizens worship his words and deeds and they treat the Elder-Lord the same as they would the General himself, as all-holy. The Primor Conclave was viewed as less than both the General and the ruler, but still came to receive a great deal of respect and veneration, more so than when they were just-born. Hellions were reproduced to form a small air-force for the nation and the prospect of a navy seemed prudent to pursue, some early research was done but nothing was constructed. The robotic legions were also upgraded a fair bit since the days of the Calculator's aggression.

Now, the Midwestern Order controls lands from Louisiana, to North Dakota, to the forests of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Two Great Lakes under their control, which have been purified and freed from radiation. Their technological prowess has since grown, every man of Knight rank geared with advanced weaponry and armor, clean and rebuilt cities abound. Bases, bunkers, all manner of military installation dot the landscape, ready to defend. Barnaky retains his vigil over the nation he helped to form. A new, powerful Elder-Lord has risen to the hallowed, revered position. His name: Henry Maxwell. Barnaky, when choosing a new ruler as the one then was ailing, almost instantly recognized that the veteran Paladin Lord was the future of the entire Order, a destiny of some sort. Maxwell made his way to the Scribes and learned their ways for years and became the most in-balance of all the Elder-Lords before him. His skill in battle, which was simply immense, was perfectly and in every way matched to his complete mastery of thought and invention. A trait that was kindest to him; his patience, helped to make him an even more popular hero amongst his people, it was one of the reasons Barnaky valued him so. The two were and still are mentor and student, the closest bond the sovereign and General had ever formed. Maxwell is also quite the cultured man, enjoying works of art and song, music being among his favorite things. An intense love for his nation and its ideals drive him. Seeing that others occupy this world, he's invited them all to his capital, the simply marvelous city of Chicago, to learn of them and establish friendships. Among these desires as well, is the goal of showing his nation's greatness and perhaps even deter any potential threats.

------------------------

Government: The government is headed by Henry Maxwell, the Elder-Lord of the Midwestern Order. Barnaky acts as an advisor and takes more of a backseat in the ruling of the nation, though he holds considerable power. A council exists below Henry, the Primor Conclave , which is a legislative group that is the sort of " Supreme Court " of the Order. It is mainly for tradition, as the sovereign is the only entity with power aside from Barnaky himself, though the Conclave does have its own influence and the like. Normally, the membership is comprised of Elders but on some occasions, a Paladin Lord or High Scribe has been allowed admittance for outstanding performance in their fields.

Underneath that, the Inquisitors are the intelligence and hold a great measure of power over the populace, they are a sort of government agency, though they are also used in war. The head of the order is the High Inquisitor, a malicious, though extremely devoted man who reports directly to the Elder-Lord himself.

The rest of the governing body consists of Governors, who oversee granted areas of land, they report to the Inquisitors, from there whatever they may say is transferred to Maxwell.

----------------

Economy: The Midwestern Order's economy relies on their impressive agricultural and industrial production abilities. Both are thanks to a large population, ample fertile land, and control of many industrious cities. Not to mention the use of mutates such as Super Mutants to do the heavy-lifting in these endeavors.

In the way of actual products, the Order can produce: corn, soybean, wheat, oats, barley, oils made from things like canola, sugar-beets, among others things. As for factory-goods, such things as processed steel and iron, even copper can be produced, just as well as weapons.

Down in the southernmost region, that of Louisiana, fish is taken and cleaned, to bet eaten or traded. It is a growing industry as the Great Lakes produced many fish as well, mutations are purged from their bodies and they are made for consumption or sale.

Overall, the Midwest has a healthy economy and can feed itself quite well.

----------------

Culture: At the top of the caste-system used in the Midwest are the Inquisitors, below them, are the Paladins, the superbly-armed and trained caste of warriors, the best the Order has among them serve. Leading them is the Master Paladin, in control of the entire lot of them, he also reports to the General and the ruler.

Opposite the Paladins are the Scribes, on equal-footing, they are makers of the Order's technology. For their contributions and ever-present intellect, any member of the branch is treated with respect. At the pinnacle of the order is the Grand Scribe, the overseer of all scientific projects and the man Maxwell approaches with ideas and orders for development, he is nothing short of a genius. As the other leaders of their respective orders, the Head Scribe meets with and reports to the Elder-Lord.

At the bottom of the barrel, is the normal citizenry. The lowest class, they aren't treated terribly bad or such but aren't especially important. In the churches that are apread across the nation however, they find a place where they are made to feel important, the church preaches that they are each a integral cog in the Great Machine, which drives them all, headed by Barnaky himself.

Architecture is certainly influenced by the culture of the land, bearing many Gothic influences, oddly it is mixed in with the retro feel of the other structures left over from the war, that have been rebuilt, creating a very unique style. Culture itself resembles something that would be best identified as " Neo-Medieval " due to a sort of feudal system being in place. as well as the names and such of certain areas, as well as the ruling class and their own titles.

------------------

Military: The military of the Midwestern Order is simply put: powerful. Years of conquering entire tribes of raiders and the like have helped the soldiers to grow into a battle-hardened legion. Lending a major edge is the fact that the Midwest is very advanced and technologically-gifted. The branches consist of the army, the air-force, and the navy, in order of largeness. By far, the land-forces are the most numerous, the air-force isn't terribly large and the Order's navy is smaller still. Though each arm can certainly be a challenge to overcome in battle.

The Order's Protectors (The army) : 88,000 humans (Less than 5% of the population ) 20,000 Calculator robots for a total of 108,000.

At the bottom of the heap, in the way of soldiery, are the Initiates. They are mere recruits and not fit to see open combat at all. They study under higher-ranked men, then are promoted to Squire when the time is right. Squires are ready to see warfare, they're exposed to it in order for them to experience the horrors and stresses, to cope with them. From there, there are other Squire-ranks though the true next step is Knight. Knights are fit combatants as they have seen a good deal of battle and know how to handle themselves. Then, those men continue their service. Before this point, the soldiers have been either covered in metal, leather, or combat armor, at the rank of Senior Knight, they are given their first suits of Power Armor. Now, the warriors are quite fearsome, armored with a near-impenetrable hide, armed with energy weapons. For further service and true skill, the Order's soldiers continue to the rank of Junior Paladin, then to full-fledged Paladin. Paladins are the epitome of fighting-excellence in the Midwest. To make the best use of these masters of warfare, the warriors are given the best equipment, such as the Advanced variant of Midwestern Power Armor and even more devastating weapons. Though it seems impossible, there are ranks even more illustrious than the regular Paladin. Reserved for men of truly amazing ability, soldiers who reach Paladin Commander or Paladin Lord rank are horrors that no man wants to encounter in combat. Finally, the very end of the military's advancement, is the General. Once held by Barnaky, it is a position of respect and influence, as well as power. The General is subordinate to the Elder-Lord and leads many of the army's forces under him, but can take part in battle himself.

To add to the Order's land-based strength, the assortment of Calculator robots are in-use. They're typically mixed in with regular squads, though sometimes humanoid bots and others will form a squad or group of their own. Things like Pacification Bots can been noted to have soldiers, either man or machine, assemble a platoon around them, with the large robot as a figurehead.

Basic overview of the army:

Initiate: Usually equipped in leather armor and lower-class weapons like pistols or SMGs. Not very useful, never seen in battle
Squire: Typically seen in lighter metal armor, with the Seniors in full-versions. Armed with better weapons such as hunting rifles, assault rifles, or larger-caliber pistols.
Knight: Normal Knights are set-up with Brotherhood Combat Armor and are the first to be given energy weapons, namely laser pistols and rifles. Seniors are given the first suits of Midwestern Power Armor due to them proving their mettle.
Paladin: Juniors are still armored in the same armor they'd had as Knights but full Paladins are given Advanced Midwestern Power Armor, as they are the best of the Order. These men are geared with plasma, Gauss, or pulse technology. The Paladin Commanders and Lords are given the absolute best weaponry and armor the nation has to use.

The Order's Skywatchers (The air-force) :

It is comprised of Hellions forming the backbone, with retrofitted helicopters and other aircraft filling in the other crevices. It isn't massive, rather it is elite, quality over quantity.

The Order's Seafarers (The navy) :

Easily the least impressive arm of the military, the navy is small, made up entirely of old craft taken from various dilapidated ports armed with machine-guns. Many only have the makeshift heavy-guns bolted onto them, sometimes even grenade-launchers. Plans have been made to improve it.

-----------------

Technology: Thanks to being Brotherhood-based for most of its life and growing from then, the Midwest is extremely advanced. For their soldiers' use there are suits of malevolent, sinister suits of devil-man http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/0/0e/Ft_power_armor03.jpg, even more powerful than the T-51b models, it is painted a dark green with a black gasmask-like breather over the mouthpiece, above the mask sit two menacing dark yellow eye-slots. More potent still is the pinnacle of protection, the http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/images/15690-1-1296557516.jpg, one of the http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/4/47/FoT_Advanded_Power_Armor_large.png ever made by the Order, it is a deep grayish/white, accented by the trademark dark yellow eyeslits and black rebreather/gasmask, with neon-blue tubes arching from the helm to the rebreather, those same tubes run around other parts of the armor as well.

Continuation of Power Armor: Both models are extremely protective, small-arms' fire only bounces off the lightweight composite surface of the armors, they even share the same prominent blue Order symbol of light blue gears, sword, and wings. It takes something quite powerful to even scratch them. Though, due to many soldiers and not enough suits to go around, only soldiers who've proven themselves are given the standard Midwestern Power Armor, the Advanced form is reserved for the most distinguished of Paladins.

To add, many advanced weapons are available to the Order's soldiery. Plasma, laser, pulse, and the stunning Gauss technology is utilized to further the Midwest's goals. Rifles, pistols, even a minigun firing Gauss rounds have been made using these technologies. Not-too-surprisingly, the lower-ranked men are afforded laser rifles and pistols as well, due to the Scribe order's mastery of their development, in rare cases are conventional firearms used. If they are, they're heavy duty, just plain destructive, or given to the most inexperienced Initiates and Squires.

Hellions are used as well, thanks to one being found in Buena Vista and more being made since then. Essentially they are a very fast, very powerful bomber/jet. To make up for their weaknesses, some old-world aircraft have been brought back from their dormant state.

Medicines and the like are efficient but are subject to improvement. Though, thanks to diligence and forethought the lands have been freed of radiation for the most part.

For transportation, Humvees are used, they are quick and have a good bit of armor but are by no means impervious. Sometimes they are mounted with weapons, in the way of power, a small micro-fusion reactor is built in, appropriated from Power Armor design.

Finally, as the crown jewel, the Midwest has full use of the Calculator's robot hordes.

------------------

Religion: Barnaky is the center of the Order's religious beliefs. He is a sort of god, or indeed that, to the populace, thanks to his fabled deeds and great power. Since he's the Listener of Barnaky, the Elder-Lord is worshiped as well, a major piece in the faith. Few other religions exist, since the Order's people are brought up from birth to follow Barnaky and regard him as they do, the nation is enveloped by a certain fervor, but do not act overly-obnoxious, nor do they try to force the belief on others. Further cementing the power the government/church has over the land is the part the Inquisitors play in " coercing " other religions away.

As stated, churches dot the land, they're headed by Priests of Barnaky and are a conduit of religious energy, when a war is called, for whatever cause, many details are twisted to the government's use and the actions are called righteous, all holy acts. Absolutely needed.

The Military Empire of Texas:

History:

After the Great War the area of Pre-War Texas was assumed into the territory of Ceasar’s Legion. It was ruled by the Legion for the better part of it’s history. Eventually the Legion saw it as "Too difficult to continue to occupy" and the Legion left it in anarchy. Soon a force arose in the eastern edge of the territory. The force spread to the North and to the West. Originating from the Pre-war city of Houston they declared themselves the rescuers of the state.
Soon the forcespread across the entire area covered by the Pre-War state of Texas. They stopped there and soon realized that they needed a Government.

12. Ymmur - (Fisheye98)

13. New Confederate States of America - (Open)

14. United States of America (Enclave) - (Aldin Kiris)
Spoiler

History: The Enclave are the shadow government left over from the Pre War United States. In recent years, they have taken over the area of Washington D.C and the surrounding states, narrowly avoiding conflict wit the Lyon's Brotherhood of Steel, now known as the Capital Union. Inside the D.C area, things are beginning to e rebuilt. The Washington Monument is now garrisoned with troops as well as it's being repaired, ghouls have been purged, Tenpenny Tower was subjected to a hostile takeover by Enclave troops, which ended in Alistair Tenpenny's brutal assassination, the settlers of Megaton were completely wiped out and the town itself torn down, and most of all the takeover and garrisoning of the Citadel, now renamed the Pentagon
.Any and all wastelanders who did not pass the genetic screening tests were quickly eliminated, and any super mutants who remained were either brutally slaughtered or turned into slaves.
Another thing of note is the Enclave movement to secure and occupy any and all vaults within their areas. Vaults that were seized had their inhabitants purged or recruited and the vaults themselves were converted into underground military bases and research facilities.

Government: The Government is a form of the Pre-War U.S government, with a President as the head and a form of Congress under him. Though the President no longer is limited to 2 terms, there is still elections every four years. The current President right now is President John Henry Eden. President is not only in charge of the government aspect of the nation, but also the military itself. In 1 year, another election will be held. Congress also goes through an election process, but is not near publicized to the degree that the Presidential election is.
The party system was also done away with.
The President also now appoints advisers (his cabinet) and the various secretaries, such as Secretary of Defense.

Economy: The Enclave economy emphasizes Capitalism and a free market. Weapons and armor manufacturing are the territory of the Government however, and anyone or any organization within the Enclave trying to go against that is branded a dissenter and their assets will be seized and placed under Government control. Also, any business, or person, that "goes against" the Enclave is subject to termination. This law is mostly for news organizations of any sort. A law is currently undergoing evaluation by Congress for the Government to take control of any broadcasting organizations, though the President has not approved yet.
In the way of products, the Enclave are masters of industry. Many factories and the like are now restored and running again. Farming is also making a comeback, with the various people taking the opportunity to raise crops and animals with the aid of the Government.
Industry remains the mainstay for the Enclave economy however.

Culture: Culture in Enclave society can easily be described by one word: Patriotic. From day one, citizens are taught to think of the government as their friend and protector, aiding them however it can. Propoganda is also a major factor with the populace, and is almost constantly being in the their environment in one form or another, whether it's posters, news broadcasts, or public showings of some sort. The Government is very involved with the peoples' lives.
The Enclave strives to be modeled after it's Pre-War ancestors, and life in Enclave territory is modeled as closely to that as it possibly can be. While the Government does indeed take an active role in the everyday man's life, it also attempts to let the people know they are "free". This is emphasized in the job market especially, where it is highly suggested that one can be any sort of person they want to be, all they need to do is put forth the effort. Motivation is also a rather enforced concept in schools and the society itself, symbolizing more the concept that the Government is your friend.

Military: The Military is the pride and joy of the Enclave. They take pride in being the best, and it shows in their combat abilities and their equipment's condition. The Enclave are in possession of the most advanced Power armor of the world, and all ground forces are equipped in some variation of it. Ranks in the military are the same as the Pre-War United States Military. There are 5 branches of the military and 1 special operations group. There are 5 models of Power armor currently in use: APA, APA Mk II, Tesla armor, Tesla Armor Mk II, and the elite of the elite, Hellfire armor. Robotic sentries and eyebots are a common sight among Enclave military units, and are used in the field extensively. Occasionally one will see a mind-controlled Death Claw within Enclave ranks, which is quickly becoming a mainstay with military units due to their sheer ferocity and raw power. Ground forces also use a modified Humvee based on designs from the Pre-War days. Mortars are also being manufactured as of late.

Army: The largest portion of the military, they are armed with APA or Tesla power armor and a plasma rifle. Snipers are armed with Gauss weaponry. The Plasma pistol or Plasma defender is the standard side arm. The army is is the main force for any expansion operations the Enclave undergoes, and is in charge with occupying any given area. The army is further divided into groups based on the Pre-War United States army divisions. There is also a more specialized group of the army known as the Rangers, taking direct influence from the U.S Army Rangers. Though they are not "Special Operations", they are the top tier of the army itself.

Marines: The Marines are a more specialized version of the army, being smaller but more combat effective than regular army troops. All soldiers are allocated APA Mk II or the occasional Hellfire armor. Armaments include multiplas rifles and Gauss pistols.Gauss rifles are the main sniper used by the Marine Sniper division, which are the best snipers in the Enclave, aside from Sigma. Heavy unites are armed in Hellfire armor and use heavy incinerators or Tesla Cannons. Marines are commonly used as the assault force, storming in and taking enemy positions.

Airforce: The Enclave Airforce is a smaller branch of the military, and consists of Vertibirds and refurbished fighter jets manufactured by Lockheed Industries. New jets are currently being planned to replace the old, worn down ones. Both fixed wing and folding wing versions are in use. The pilots themselves are regarded as the best of their time, and are equipped with a standard plasma defender as a side arm, though Vertibird pilots usually have Army personnel on board as well. There are few bombers in use as well. Main mission of the Airforce is to provide security for Enclave-controlled airspace, air superiority in times of war, transportation of units, close air support, and the occasional bombing run.

Navy: The smallest portion the Enclave military by far, the Navy exists merely to eradicate pirates and their ilk. On occasion the Navy is responsible for the delivery of supplies to one of the coastal cities, but only when a cargo plane from the military or a civilian company can not. Ships consist of ad-hoc weaponry and are more or less based off of of old colonial designs. Not a terribly emphasized branch of the military. Very rarely will anyone on board have a suit of any kind of PA, unless troops are being transported. Weaponry includes the standard armament of the regular army troops.

CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) This is the intelligence/espionage branch of the military. They are not the most numerous, but are in charge of clandestine warfare and the handling of sensitive materials such as government secrets. Not afraid to "play dirty". Typically armed in unassuming attire and weapons, they occasionally are outfitted with Hellfire armor if they are assaulting a target or protecting a VIP. Essentially the Pre-War CIA and FBI combined into one group.

Sigma Division: This is the Special Operations unit of the Enclave military. They handle the the worst of the worst jobs, black ops and such. They are all outfitted with the best weaponry the Enclave has a hold of, and each operative is allowed to choose their own loadout for each engagement. Only the best of the best get into Sigma, their training and combat abilities are the top of the line. This being the case, very few actually make it into the Division. Sigma Operatives will carry out any mission deemed worthy by Command, whether it is assault, garrisoning, or clandestine warfare.
The current General for the Military is General Augustus Autumn.
Also of note is the Enclave's ability to use the Bradley-Hercules Satellite, from which warheads can be fired down upon targets designated by command. The most deadly weapon in the Enclave arsenal. Rarely used except in the most extreme cases.

Technology: High. The Enclave is one, if not the, most advanced nation in the Post War world. They are able to produce many different types of machines. weapons, armor, and medical technology easily. There are many dedicated to the advancing of the technology, and the R&D portion of the populace a pride of the Enclave itself.

Religion: There is not really an enforced religion, though the main one everyone tends to follow is Christianity. The Government does not force it's inhabitants to follow it, but it is endorsed specifically by them occasionally and should be considered the de-facto religion of the Enclave.
Views on mutation: The Enclave views mutants as either a resource or as a simple nuisance that needs to be eradicated. Any and all mutant kind, whether it be ghoul, super mutant, or otherwise will be killed on sight if they do not comply with forced labor laws specifically designed for them. They are treated by far the worst in the society, and are summarily executed when they have outlived their usefulness or try and riot. They serve mainly as construction workers and usually just clear debris from the war. In recent days they were used to clean up the site around the White House, which is now in the process of being restored to it's former glory.

Land occupied: Southern border of Pre-War Georgia all the way to the southernmost border of Maine. Capital city is Washington D.C

Population: Somewhere around 100,000-150,000 range. Increase in population isn't really a concern with the Government, as their technology assures they are able to deal with any threat that comes their way. Plans have been made to implement a breeding program though, and also to recruit more and more wastelanders.

15. Ohio Socialist Republic - (W0NDERW0MBAT)
Spoiler

Name: Ohio Socialist Republic

History: After the Great War the city of Cincinnati was largely left in ruins, but the location of the cities sports arenas left them relatively intact. The National Guard turned the facilities in refugee camps, but it wasn't long before they started to get crowded. Each stadium's residents were nicknamed after their respective team name, the Bengals and the Reds. It didn't take long for the word to spread that a somewhat safe location was set up in Cincinnati, and soon people from all over the region tried to gain access to the stadiums, but once they filled up the others were denied access, so they set up Shanty towns inside and around the city ruins.

7 years after the war the people wanted to start to move out of the stadiums as they felt it was safe enough for them if hundreds of others could live out there. It wasn't until the entire Bengal stadium collapsed on top of the several thousand people inside that the Red's forcefully left the the facility. In doing so many of the National Guard soldiers died in the stampede and their weapons and equipment were taken by the people. The Reds then started to assimilate into the Shanty towns in the city. Eventually several survivors from the stadium assumed leadership and began a period of rebuilding.

For 150 years all efforts to rebuild a thriving community were exclusively in Cincinnati. It wasn't until a large wreck in the Ohio river released much of the irradiated cesspool that was Pittsburgh down the river. No one was able to go near the river nor use it for growing crops, so the people had to look beyond on their community. The pre-war maps pointed north to Dayton were many military supplies could be found, on the way an abundance of farmland was found that could be used to help the community grow. Upon reaching the ruins of Dayton the Reds found the Wright Patterson air force base. Most of the above ground facilities were just craters, but a vast network of tunnels and rooms awaited them underground. Here they found a plethora of military hardware from weapons to airplanes.

On the return of the mission, Frank Peters declared himself the new President of Cincinnati after many people encouraged him to be the leader. He saw the flaws in the old world in giving people too much freedom, so he strived to make a socialist community where everyone did their fair share of work. A constitution was formed with 17 basic laws for the people and the city was declared a Socialist Republic. It wasn't long before Peters set his sights on taking more land for his cause. In 2232 Columbus was taken, and in 2235 Indianapolis was claimed. The two cities, although destroyed by the Great War, still had valuable resources within them such as factories just waiting to be used again, and of course they were. The needs of the people were met with these new factories and many items began to be made from weaponry to leisurely items like toys and radios.

Frank Peters wanted to keep this community solely focused on the region he had gained, but in 2251 he died from a heart attack. The new elected president, Robert Stephens wanted to expand the influence of the Red's. Almost immediately during his term he set his sights on taking back all of pre-war Ohio, but his true goal was Detroit, and industrial powerhouse from before the war. In 2278 the opportunity finally arose for him to take his prized city. The Reds fought a large force from a place called Ronto, but they eventually succeeded and took the city. All that remained from his goals were Cleveland. Unfortunately in Cleveland they found a large force of Raiders from a place called the Pitt. Four months of hard fighting occurred in the city until Lord Ashur from the Pitt met with President Stephens. They talked for 3 days before finally reaching an agreement which would allow Ohio to absorb the Pitt into its territorial claims in return the medical facilities in Ohio were used to rapidly find a cure for the Troglodyte Degeneration Contagion.

The two groups, with their vast industrial knowledge, planned to effectively rebuild the entire region under Ohio's control in a quick time frame, it was called the 20 year plane and it would end in 2300. Immediate effects were noticed and the plan began at a great pace. Work halted though once Stephens dies and Ashur assumed control of the nation. But it wasn't long until Ashur also died in 2288. A new president was elected the same year, Luke Hartman. He promised that nation that he would find foreign powers and bolster there relations and trade.

Government:Ohio is ran by a Constitutional Republic. Everyone is of an equal status in Ohio, where everyone pitches in to do their part of the work. A person is selected from each county to run for the presidency. A primary vote narrows it down to five people, and a secondary vote decides who the president is. A small form of Senate is also present, however they only deal in domestic affairs.

Economy:Ohio is very industrious controlling many of the powerful industrial cities from before the war. They have the ability to make many products ranging from household utilities to modern (not real world modern) aircraft. Inbetween the cities lies vast amounts of farmland too which allows to feed their population and grow at a steady pace.

Culture: The culture is similar to America before the war, with a heavy emphasis on baseball from which the nation's nickname, the Reds, comes from. Everyone is expected to do their work, and if they do they are rewarded monthly with luxuries from radios, to kitchen appliances.

Military: 50,000 ground forces. The Reds use blitzkreig tactics and are able to mobilize incredibly quickly. This makes up for their lack in strength. The blitzkreig works especially well with the modernized air force that was made due to information and technology from Wright Patterson. As support the infantry also makes use of tanks which is possible due to the strong industrial force. The military is also known to be excellent at defending.

Air Force: 20,000 (74 planes total)
-25 F-86 fighter jets
-10 F-4 Air Superiority Jets
-5 F-5 Fighter Jets
-5 F-5 Interceptors

-3 B-29 Strategic Bombers
-1 B-52 Strategic Bombers

-25 Cargo Planes of various types.

Technology: Medium-High technology. Most is used in the air force and armored Calvary, while the others is used for industrial purposes.

Religion: Although their is no official state religion, most of the citizens are Catholic or Protestant.

Views on mutation: Mutants aren't a problem as long as they keep their distance. Have no knowledge of what a super mutant is only ghouls and trogs.

Land occupied: Ohio, land up to and including Detroit, Eastern Indiana and Indianapolis, Western Pennsylvania.

Population&: 723,491

17. Montreal-Ottawa Empire - (Objectivist123)

Here is my nation sheet

Name:Ottawa Military Empire (formerly Ottawa-Montreal)

History: After the Nuclear strikes Eastern Canada went into silence. Tribal groups immersed and most fled the cities. Over the Years Population increased and with that city states began to grow out of villages renamed after old cities. Among these were primarily the city states of Ottawa and Montreal which became the economic hubs of the East and West.

The city states of Ottawa and Montreal began to become the major hubs of Trade and eventually Industry began to grow. Ottawa and Montreal began a major rivalry with one another, especially in the time of King Nasus of Ottawa and King Darius of Montreal. The two hated each one intensely and both went on a propaganda war against one another, turning the populations of each city into entities of hate. Ottawa began undertaking massive industrial works and Montreal did so also to compete,Ottawa began to acquire more land and so did Montreal.

It was only a matter of time before the powder keg exploded. In an incident involving Ottawa sending troops into a disputed area,Montreal artillery fired upon them, leading to Ottawa sending in more troops and Montreal reinforcing the area,it ended in Ottawa forced to pull back and Montreal moving into the area. Angered, the Ottawans massed troops along the border to face down Montreal. Both armies met at the Ottawa-Montreal Border.

In what was known as the battle of the North,Ottawa won a strategic victory over Montreal, causing the entire Montreal forces into full retreat. The Ottawa Forces surrounded the city of Montreal itself, while the Ottawa forces marched across Montreal with little resistance. The siege of Montreal lasted until the Ottawans stormed the city. However the King of Montreal and his son committed suicide before capture, leaving Ottawa a de-facto victory.

Ottawa annexed Montreal, absorbing its hostile populous, and claiming its technology for its own. However, the absorbed Montreal military was not loyal to its new king and after a few years the military of Ottawa-Montreal become more loyal to Marshall Harper. In what is known as the “People's War”,Marshall Harper stormed Ottawa and arrested the royal family, while anyone loyal is also arrested. Leaving Harper in control of the nation.
