Unable to play the new missions >.< : Fallout: New Vegas

I just got dead money and installed it and everything, it even says that it has been installed on the main menu. but when i go to play, it just does the ending movie scene and then goes to the credits and then back to the main menu! im getting really frustrated, can anyone help me out???

Dead Money does not allow you to play beyond the main quest. To play the content, do the following

Make sure you've applied the latest available game update for Fallout: New Vegas. Without the second update, Dead Money will not work properly.

Start up Fallout: New Vegas

Load any existing game save other than saves relating to the end game (you won't be able to travel to the Sierra Madre Casino from these saves).

Wait a minute or so and you should receive a quest pop up on you Pip-Boy stating:

Sierra Madre Grand Opening!

Your Pip-Boy has picked up a radio broadcast inviting you to the grand opening of the Sierra Madre Casino!

After clicking okay, you'll receive a message stating:

Dead Money Loaded

Dead Money has been loaded. Your level cap has been raised by 5.

From there, make your way to the Abandoned BoS Bunker showing on your Pip-Boy map.

To add on to what Gstaff said, it has to be done Pre-Hoover Dam. None of the DLC's will extend the game after it's base ending, so you'll have to have a save before the final warning pop up.
