disappointed with the lack of unique gear in Dragonborn

So I had just finished the unearthed quest and discovered that there is unique gear inside the tomb. "oh boy." I thought this should be good. Oh, its Ancient Nord armor, the kind that you can find, or in my case, make anytime I want. well its ok I've got these neat enchantments that, aren't relevant to my play style, but its the thought that counts at least I have this cool armor that I already technically have?

"OoOoOo" I thought reading the legends of Death-brand sounds like cool Dedric pirate armor, this should be exciting and interesting.(Finds gloves) oh its Stahlrim armor. The kind I can find or buy or make, at anytime. Well maybe when I get all the pieces they will turn red or glow in a unique and different way, hopefully. (I don't know why I thought that but I really did. documentation of irrational thought? go team Froyed) Found all Death-brand armor pieces and defeated death-brand himself. Wow soul render and blood scythe surely these will be unique in some fashion. oh they are just scimitars the kind that can be found or bought at anytime. Well at least they have these neat enchantments that i don't use. someone, some where is having a blast.(not sarcasm really)

Glover Mallory-" here take this key and take my Black Guard armor."

Myself-"unintelligible."

Oh, its just Lewins armor with different enchantments. But hey at least the hood has a cool enchantment(vampire balding hood glitch)

General Falx. What a interesting battle that was and what cool armor, woink*, woink? what? I cant have it? well at least i have this cool hammer that I wont use.

Glass bow of the stag prince you say, its just a glass bow with a unique enchantment? how original.

The highlight of this DLC for me was when I got the dwarven Black bow of fate. sure its just a Dwarven bow but it is Unique, One of a kind, Like a Legendary weapon or something.

I love Skyrim and I'm foaming at the mouth for more but please Bethesda I'm begging you, take sometime to make the Unique gear, Unique. Instead of making a heart tearing out animation we will see once.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

tl;dr? Why are all the supposedly legendary and unique gear look like any other piece of gear of the same type? Lay down a steel sword and a sky-forge steel sword side my side and see if you can spot the difference. Also I'm on Xbox so mods are out of the the question for me.

I'm more upset that we couldn't disenchant the boots of Waterwalking.

Indeed. I was hoping to disenchant Miraak's robes for the shout effect, but I'm not exactly surprised we can't. But I can dream.

Me too Ancient Nord boots aren't high on my list of favorite boots why go through all the trouble of having us create a unique character if enchantments are chained to gear that might not suit are play style?

Another one I forgot was the Morong Tong that was a huge disappointment.

Really? I thought they were cool. The guy at the end was tough too. That and he insta heals like 7 times, lol. Fun fight, and cool armor.

I liked it, but it was just a retexture of the regular Chitin Armor (and no why no heavy armor variant?)

Still would have preferred something more like http://api.ning.com/files/4XqVYRBMYn5gg3X0vLPTiS25mi6QgM4DAjGsxZC4QbnqeDH67wP9IcPcP-uugk-G3Z0Tbm*4KkzhRlh-kfaDqt8eWUKKWdqP/moragcopy.jpg, especially if it came with those weapons.

see that is cool, the sad thing is I'm sure they have plenty of unused ideas just sitting in a mountain of concept art but never got around to using. What ever there next DLC is I hope they get really creative.

They are ok I just don't like using heavy armor most of the time. If I remember correctly though all its is is unique enchantments. The dwarven black bow only gets a pass because if i set it down next to a regular Dwarven bow and asked someone to identify the legendary one, the black glowing one would be the obvious choice. Morong tong Armour is just colored differently no symbols no extra anything I love skyrim to much to call it cheap or lazy but a bit more effort goes a long way.
