Each pedal is set to register a complete key press(press and release of the assigned key) on depress and once again on release of the pedal. This doesn't always work out, because sometimes you run out of energy while the pedal is depressed but it does work fairly well.
I found that using the pedals seems to be quicker than using one of the buttons on the G13 gamepad, or one of the buttons on the G9x Laser mouse. I can only guess that maybe it's just me, but trying to manage so many things with two hands in the middle of a firefight, and having to move your fingers to positions other than their resting positions does take some time be it ever so minimal. Using the pedals it becomes like second nature, and there is less of delay between the thought and actually following through with it. Is anyone else using pedals? Do you have a better or alternative set up? How do you control the game? Here's my setup? If you have any suggestions as to how a more optimized setup might be achieved let me know below.
