I am making a character now that will be useing alchemy and destruction,mostly for the rune spells and cloaks.
Now a fortify destruction potion makes your destruction spells do more damage for 60 seconds.
If I were to drink a fortify destruction potion then cast a rune spell will the trap need to be triggered within 60 seconds to get the extra damage?
Or because I cast the spell within that 60 seconds is the potion applied to the spell and will last as long as it takes for the spell to be triggered?

I'm thinking it's the first but it would be great if the potion was applied to the spell.
