Essential characters you want to kill so badly. : V

For me, it's two in particular. Olfrid Battle-Born and Maven Black-Briar.

Both characters grate on my nerves and make it worse because I cant shut them up.

True, they're both tied to quests, especially Maven what with her connection to the thieves guild.

But it was wasted potential because killing Maven could have been the start of an alternative questline to go to war against the Thieves guild in Riften. She was their biggest client, who loses a large resource if you destroy the Dark Brotherhood, but she makes pretty much no reaction to despite the fact that she kills her employees just for not acting like they love her enough(meaning she's a pretty spiteful woman.)

Im quite unhappy at having to kill an innocent woman as it is, it being the only way I can adopt a kid.

Yeah, he gets a little extreme. I think it's to the point where it's funny, though. 'Hey, I got an idea: We should dig a big pit, and then throw all of those ash people and lizards in it, and watch them tear each other apart.'

I'd love to be able to remove them and restart the Blades from scratch with myself as Grandmaster.

I could get one of my mage followers to become the new Loremaster in Esbern's stead and recruit more than just three.

I didn't include Esbern because I don't consider him nearly as bad as Delphine.

He's essential? Does he even have a quest tied with him? I will never understand how Bethesda chooses which characters are essential.

Oflrid Battle-Born is a smug elitist. I love showing them their place.

But since I cant kill him, I've been screwing with his family this playthrough. Killed Alfhild and Idolaf. Blackmailed Jon with the letter from Olfina Gray-Mane and then reverse pickpocketed the letter onto Olfrid(he ain't gonna be happy.) And when the time is right, Jon will die, and Olfrid's wife soon after.

I thought he was essential too. I was getting the upgrades for the DB sanctuary and this guy dares to threaten the leader of the dark brotherhood. It was incredibly satisfying to slit his throat. The thieves guild was not happy

The only one I don't mind is Jon because he isn't smug like the rest of the family.
