Possibly a new class system

I thought up an idea for a class system, that may work in the next TES game. I think they could do classes so that when you select a class it will boost only five skills pertaining to that class, and the rest of your skills start out at the lowest skill level. For example:

If you select the Mage class what it does it boost Destruction, Illusion, Alteration, Conjuration, and Restoration since those are the main skills, and then all your other skills are set to 15 or whatever the base skill level is.

But you can still level your other skills and they affect your leveling just the same as your boosted skills. That way if you decide you want to be a warrior you could still level those skills relatively easy. I also think they should have an option for No Class, so that way people can start out as a blank slate like Skyrim is now.

All of this is based on if they keep the same structure as they have in Skyrim where there are 6 skills in each of the three categories: combat, magic, and stealth.

What do you guys think? I am prepared to hear this is the worst idea ever.
