I found a stray dog somewhere and spoke to it which meant the dog followed me.

I took the dog to my house and told him to wait thinking it would be nice to see a dog at my house whenever I return. I have since tried to get the dog to follow me again but I don't seem to be able to.

When I look at the dog I get the option to talk but pressing the button doesn't do anything.

Is there a know bug with this or do I need to do something different to get the dog to follow me?

I'm worried that the dog will be there forever and I will never be able to get rid of it.

Why not just get Vigiliance or Meeko? What about the huskies in DG.

That's what I want to do, but because I can't get rid of the dog that I already have I'm worried that I won't be able to get another dog follower so wanted to know if there was a way to get rid of the dog.

I could always just kill the dog I suppose and then if possible drag the body outside.
