Every time I come on these forums to see something new or some wonderful ideas. it's all about the civil war, it was interesting for the first 100 threads but now its getting a bit out of hand. It's all about Tullius this Ulfric that empire this stormcloak that... Give me a break. The civil war is the most uninteresting thing there is in Skyrim, The only change is Skyrim becomes independent of the empire or does not. There is no right or wrong side because we don't experience the after effects and that is why I leave it alone because it is effectively pointless as there is no outcome to be satisfied with not yet anyway. I don't really get why it is so popular. I can understand why you pick a particular side but lets be honest what difference does it actually make in the game, couple of different Jarls maybe some different (same) guards patrolling the city's.
We don't know if a choice is worthwhile in the long term so am just sitting in my college doing delicate research for the time being.
I can't be only one who is neutral and doesn't engage in the civil war quest line
Honestly, the only reason I play the CW quest is because I like Hjerim.
That and for the feeling of completion.
I try to ignore the thousands of new Civil war threads or the ones that seem like they'll be heading that way. But no, you're not the only one. Didn't care much for the civil war since the beginning, but I love sending Ulfric and Galmar to the soul cairn. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm leaving before this goes downhill.
Unfortunately the civil war is a big talking point of Skyrim, though certainly there are more interesting discussions to be had, I agree.
What I find interesting doesn't really seem to correlate with the masses though; the sea of civil war topics (Of which I am a guilty party to ) tend to drown the others out.
I love the civil war questline. Killing imperials is really FUN!!!
Eh. I find it boring, uninteresting, stale, and without any real consequence. Oh yeah, then there's how the quests play out exactly the same no matter who you side with. It WOULD'VE been great if the quests were dramatically different for each side. As it is, I can side with the Stormcloaks & visit Solitude 2 quests before the finale & no one will bat an eyelash at me... that's awful, just awful.

A true Stormcloak, that's what I like to see! I tend to avoid the civil war discussions as well because I feel everything has now been fully covered and there really is no point in flogging a dead horse.
tbh... the only interesting topics on here are the ones which bring up the poor design flaws in the games making... but then the beth f@nboys come along and ruin it.

What do you guys think?
You're not the only one fed up. I made a thread about it too. It's just buried by the leeches that populate the CW threads.

People do CW threads because they mainly want to just say "My side is better than your side and I don't care what you say because I'm right and you're wrong." That is literally every CW thread in a nutshell.
Funny how most of the CW threads are by Imperial supporter stating that they hate Stormcloaks, Skyrim will fall without the Empire, or some other biased information despite the fact that Bethesda wouldn't have given us the choice if they weren't going to end the same way since they aren't going to write two separate stories based on who won the Civil War.

Both sides regularly present biased information.
Suggesting otherwise is only going to end up turning this into another one of those discussions. Let's not?
