khajit genealogy

(this came up in the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1453932-if-tes-had-been-real-would-you-fight-in-the-cw/page__st__180, which is meanwhile locked for some reason -&--#62; new thread 4 reply)

Khajiit are elves. They've been biologically transformed into cat-like people by Azura, if I remember correctly.
if i got it right (from tes-wiki), elves as well as khajit evolved from cats, and there's even some khajit-race (ohmer iirc) indistinguishable from wood elves

no prob, http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Khajiit you go.
interesting read all in all, as is btw the "http://www.imperial-library.info/content/ahzirr-trajijazaeri" ingame book (one thjizzrini book i could go with finally, and then it's 'fictitious', just my luck :-))

khajit races apparently are less a matter of evolution than masser phases though, and that wood-elf-like khajit race's name was "ohmes", not "ohmer".
(would be nice to have that as a playable race, with me always having played a wood elf and my sympathy for khajit growing ever deeper since morrowind (khajit liberation now! :-)), this'd be just the one for me)

So the Khajiit came from the Bosmer?

Hey, that's my signature

but yes, there's forms of Khajiit that are much like Man / Mer. Ohmes being the ones that look like Bosmer, and Ohmes-raht being the ones that look more like men.
Ohmes khajiit were playable in Arena I believe, then Ohmes-raht in Daggerfall. but now we've been playing Suthay-raht since Morrowind, but some argue that Oblivion & Skyrim's Khajiit are Cathay due to not having beast legs.

Anyway, what does this have to do with Skyrim? :o
