conjure familiar

conjure familiar is my favorite spell in the game but when I first tried it out, at level 1 it would die in 3 hits if I was lucky. By level 5 it would die in 2 if I was lucky, and by level 10 a rabbit would one hit it. What I want to know is with the new dlc (dragonborn, hearthfire, and dawnguard) has this little phantom wolf been made useful. If not is there any plan to make it so its actually useable?

What does dlc has to do with an original spell? It is a low level spell so it is useful for beginners.

One of my favorite spells too, having a spirit animal of the wolf. At later levels it becomes useless. Having spells that level would be interesting, but would decrease the value of higher level spells.

Just out of curiosity, are those pictures ancestors of yours?

Dlc has a lot to do with it. I couldn't craft arrows until I got one of them so they may have buffed conjure familiar only in one of the dlc. I know its a beginner spell but that doesn't mean its supposed to be absolutely useless later on. I don't expect it to be as good as summon daemora lord but I do expect it to at least survive a good 10 hits against normal bandits.

Well it has not been "buffed" in anyway in the dlc as far as I can tell. It is somewhat obsolete at higher levels as you would find out.
