I give my follower Anneke Crag-Jumper an enchanted ebony bow and I see her equip it on her body but during a battle she insists on using her crappy wooden bow and steel arrows, is there anything I can do?

On Xbox? No. Problem occurs on PC sometimes too, unless you manually remove the items from their inventory.

This is supposed to be fixed on 1.9 patch

I gave a crossbow and she uses it. I had to take away her Stalhrim Bow because she kept on whipping out the Hunting Bow.

I have never seen a follower use the hunting bow when i give them a bow. In my game they only use it if they have no other weapon.

This happens to me on PC as well. Just take the wooden bow and any other weapon out of her inventory and she'll use the ebony bow.
